Made a call and going to take both daughters and the wife to Cheshunt next month and support Spurs Ladies against the wife’s Villa Ladies. She’s already trying to get one of the kids in Villa colours. Not happening. Family of 4 for a tenner. Nothing to lose.

Wembo is a bit of a blessing for this sort of thing. Took my 7 year old to Fulham but didn't want to waste the ticket money on my wife and 4 her old so we all went together, played in the park a bit and then we went to the game and they went to the Cineworld. We all met up after for some food in the LDO.

Everyone enjoyed themselves, successful family day out!

Took my 7 yr old to the West ham home game a few years ago, there was a charge by the mounted police ,the language in the family part of the 'Lane' was horrendous and we won 4-,needless to say she loved it !!!!

must admit with the history of that game, i'd definitely not take a young kid, to be honest I wouldn't even take @riggi :whistle:

I took my then 2 year old to White Hart Lane in the final season there just so he can say he saw a game there when he is older. It was fine for the first half, he enjoyed the cheering of the goals (4-0 vs Bournemouth) and watching the crowd more than the game though. Second half had to bribe him with snacks though
I have the exact same experience when I go with my American brother in law

I took my son when he was 6, waiting until my 3yo daughter is about the same and shows some sort of interest. She does however know that when Daddy is watching football we shout 'Come on you Spurs'. Not convinced her enough that she wants a matching shirt like Daddy though, maybe she has read the kit thread?

So, their first game is on Sunday. As my 3 year old is learning about the number 6 at school, and has to take pictures with the number 6 wherever she finds it, I’ve just tweeted Renée Hector, the Spurs Ladies number 6, to see if it was ok to get them together for a picture after the game. She got back to me straight away saying no problem. Bloody Legend already! I’ll report back on Monday but already sure this is the right way to go rather than dragging them along to Wembley.

Well I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm fucking pumped for Monday now.

Re the original question; by all means take kids to games, remembering 2 key points;

1. They should be yours or
2. You should have permission from their responsible adults.

Just back from the game. 2-1 win for the ladies and my two little ladies had a great time. Would definitely recommend it for the little ‘uns. And yeah, actually I enjoyed it too. And Renée Hector was true to her word!
