Makes you wonder who on earth we are actually tracking to replace Dembele (don't say Grealish).
I hope we aren't going to replace him like-for-like. I'd prefer a more technical passer.

If Fekir to Liverpool ain't happening Lyon might be more inclined to let Ndombele leave. I do hope we're pushing for this one. Yeah, let the optimistic ratings rain.

He's still not a Lyon player.
And he plays much higher up the pitch.
I think that was more in regards to selling of their better players all at once.
Fekir will move to Liverpool it will just be Aulas trying to get more money like he did with Lloris et al! As others have said it looks very likely he will go to Lyon but Ndombele is still an Armiens (SP) playerIf Fekir to Liverpool ain't happening Lyon might be more inclined to let Ndombele leave. I'm just thinking of Spursking!Sorry, did make me smile. Had visions of brown envelope labelled:

@Matecheck What you doh'ing about mate?
"We knew that Toby was happy to be here, wanted to stay and all the indications were that he wanted to play for Southampton. Even to the point of accepting terms and conditions for his future contract. Again, in other countries you can actually put those contracts in place at the time of the option agreement but here you can’t so we had to wait before we could put something in writing. "
Good post. But in two pages there’ll still be some idiot posting about how it’s possible because hes still an Amiens player.Lyon have an option to buy and, when they pull that option, a contract signed by Ndombele before the loan even started. It's how it works. Eintracht Frankfurt have a player on loan from Hannover (Marius Wolf) who they don't have an option to buy on until July 1st. But because of the pre-arranged contract and said option, he's already been sold by Frankfurt to Dortmund.
And for anyone who wants to start talking about the Southampton-Athletico-Alderweireld situation, here is an interview with Saints executive director at the time, Les Reed. He explains in detail what happened. One very important quote shows another one of the differencesbetween loan rules in Britain and the rest of the world:
A few days ago, some pundit suggested that Lyon would prefer Fekir leaves towards the end of July so that the money can be booked as part of the 18/19 season meaning they are under less pressure to sell anyone else to balance the books for that season.Fekir will move to Liverpool it will just be Aulas trying to get more money like he did with Lloris et al! Unless Lyon are dragging their feet/trying to renegotiate on paying the buy option or there is a buy option invalidated by higher bid clause I just don't see a way he doesn't end up at Lyon next year. The former of which is very possible as Lyon' s president acts a lot like Levy when it comes to these things but doubt he lets a potentially valuable player slip through his fingers.
or there is a buy option invalidated by higher bid clause
