Just how much are we talking about? Martial didn't make it either btw.

They want 40m plus according to Herc.

Are you saying Martial is definitely worth a stack of money too - what's that got to do with this at all? Maybe Martial will be the answer to everything at Spurs or maybe his career will continue to stagnate - I don't have a crystal ball. Probably wasn't in the French squad because he didn't deserve to be and they had better players in his position.

They may want £40m, that doesn't mean we'll deal at £40m. I'd say Martial is worth a lot of money yes. He had the best goal per minute ratio at United last season despite being handled badly by Mourinho. I wouldn't base anyone's worth on being picked for the WC or not, far too many variables on why a player may get picked.

Fair enough. At least Ndombele's a current U21 player so is recognised as a talent I guess. There will be an optimum amount though and it's all about perceived value for the money available. I just can't see it yet, but then that's not my job, or even my money.

If Martial moves, then it will be interesting to see what premium we are prepared to pay to pay (we'll probably never know) compared to the amount from elsewhere in Europe.

For the amount of money we're talking about then this guy should be in the French WC squad. Just think we're being taken for a ride. Especially for a young (relatively) untested player. You have to be pretty darn sure he's close to the finished article for that amount.

Coincidently that's also my feelings about DeLigt, but that's another story altogether.

Leroy Sane didn't make the German squad either but I think he'd be good enough for us .

You are the anti-BBLG.. he spends every post trying to twist even the shittest player we're linked with into a world beater and you're hunting through the threads saying everyone's rubbish . Are you his evil twin? Or is he yours?

Seperated at birth LOL

Seriously Martial can’t even get into the French squad and N’fricken Dombele or whatever looks like a bit of a cart horse journeyman. I think Vic at his best before the knee injury makes this bloke look average.

No I am not impressed by either. I think Grealish is a good buy and so is Gomes. Rabiot would be a better option if you are going to blow 60m euros. If you want a fast wide man who can open up defences then someone like Malcolm is a better choice. Raw at the moment but with a higher ceiling then Martial. All of these have real potential.

Why don't you just be honest and admit you know absolutely fuck all about him and you are basing your opinions of him on his fucking surname?

Also Malcom didn't make the Brazil squad - must mean he's shit right?

You still hurting after I called you a little girl mate :D

You can kiss my ass if it will make you feel better (y)

I literally don’t know who you are. Don’t think this previous correspondence you seem to remember so well meant quite as much to me.

Now now relax No.19, your stress levels and passive aggressive questioning/threatening are cute but concerning. Don’t have a cow dude. I’ve seen the obligatory vids that the rest of you chumps have seen. Unless you know him personally.

I didn’t get a woody. Does that make me a bad person.

I like him. Got a lot of potential and unfortunately these days potential costs a premium.

I like him as well. I think if (big if) we do get him he should come in with the same expectations we had of Sanchez when we bought him - improve the overall squad, adapt to PL, compete for a spot, and if the dice falls right become a starter. I do worry many on here would expect what we got from Sanchez which was an immediate starter (forgetting the circumstances which caused that).

Ah we have another friend of @Spurrific. SC’s resident Mr. Optimist @tiger666 brings his own special brand of elan to the thread :D

OK you have worn me down all of you, I love the little fucker. When do we sign N’Dombelbey. I can’t wait. Let’s party everybody!

Are you really a 61 year old man? How about you grow up and stop spamming the thread up with this nonsense?

From the news desk of LOL in Chief - Lyall

http://www.skysports.com/amp/footba...-tanguy-ndombele-but-no-contact-between-clubs

Tottenham are interested in Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, according to Sky sources.

However, Spurs have not made contact with the Ligue 1 club, contrary to reports in France on Monday.

Lyon do not want to sell the 21-year-old this summer, having just signed him permanently from Amiens after a successful season-long loan.

The France U21 international fits the profile Spurs are looking for to potentially replace Mousa Dembele, who is a target for clubs in China and Italy this summer.

Ndombele made 43 appearances for Lyon last season and was statistically one of the best performers in his position in the Ligue 1, and he impressed in the Europa League as Lyon reached the last 16.

Ndombele is on a list at Spurs with the likes of Watford's Abdoulaye Doucoure and Lille's Yves Bissouma, while others have recently committed to other clubs including Geoffrey Kondogbia, who signed permanently for Valencia last month, and Salzburg's Amadou Haidara, who has signing a new deal.

Spurs star Dembele, who is about the enter the final year of his contract, is believed to favour a move to China despite his representatives recently touring Serie A clubs Roma, Juventus, Napoli and Inter, according to Sky in Italy.
