It's the Mourinho scatter gun approach. They've not given Bailly or Lindlehof much of a chance but apparently want Toby although they usually start with Smalling and Jones.

I find it extremely hard to believe Mourinho would want a 21/22 year old kid. He always goes for the finished article (exceptions in cases like Pogba)

Didn't they spend like 30m on Lindelof and 30m on Bailly? I don't think Mou signs young players often, yeah, but he's certainly not completely against it.

I like this so I choose to believe this and withold my forum right to get grossly mad when it does not come true by misquoting the itk in various increasingly obscure ways the worse my memory of it gets.

Getting a first choice midfielder in to replace Dembele is definitely our hardest transfer of the window and one we can’t afford to get wrong.

In that respect I’d prefer someone with a bit more experience in a better League than notdembele however good he could become.

No corners can be cut and it will be expensive to replace Dembele.

Ndombele actually does have a pretty good passing range and knows how to thread balls through the lines.

What the hell does "several steps ahead" mean? As we saw with Willian, a transfer can be snatched from under your nose while the player is doing his fucking medical. There are no steps, if they offer a better deal than we do then they get him and we don't, end of story.

The latter is more of a known quantity and frankly I’d prefer RLC, but it feels like a non starter.

This guy has the athleticism and the talent, but you could say the same for Ononah. No idea about his decision making

Ndombele is one of the best forward-thinking passers in Europe (in fact statistically he was the best last year). He is the opposite of sterile possession. I can’t believe people wouldn’t be all over this.

Perhaps his info used to come from someone who worked at the club how now doesn't. I have no idea but he certainly doesn't post as much as he used to.
