So, I'm perusing a music forum and the local bigmouth is banging on about Rangers being caught not paying tax. After 5 or 6 pages of him laughing (he's Celtic) he said "I bet Spurs and Liverpool are shitting themselves now.
My question is, before I go back and shoot him down in flames, should we be? Have I missed something?
I have to admit I would laugh if Liverpool were somehow implicated but my beloved Spurs?
Say it ain't so people.

We've just gone through a rigorous court hearing over the stadium. I'm sure if there was any chink in our armour of legality it would have been exposed by now.

Probably just some drunk twat with a vague memory of Redknapp's dodgy dealings.

There is no mention of us using it whereas Arsenal did but there were 8 clubs in the PL reported to be using this scheme. However there was an issue in the past with 15 PL clubs paying players through their image rights which was settled out of court for all the clubs

Woolwich were caught paying players through offshore accounts about 10 year ago but I think they paid up and it went away.

Well it seems a lot of clubs or people who have been caught got offered Amnesty for settling out of court. If we did get use its probably been settled by now.

I wouldn't be surprised if we did use it

I think it would have been better if you'd confined this chaps bullshit to the arena in which it was posted. Its based on nothing. Fuck all. The utterings of a gobshite.

He's an idiot if he thinks it'll effect Rangers in any way. They were liquidated and all assets sold to a Newco.......which is why they went down to League 3.
The Oldco (which is a separate entity and has nothing to do with the present Rangers set up) is liable for all pre liquidation debts and liabilities - HMRC have carried this through several appeals despite never being able to get the lost tax merely to set a legal precedent on taxation of indirect emoluments.
