We need to get Lucas a sub appearance in this game. I think its pretty clear he is not a fan of Emery. Would be a big time motivation for him to put out a great performance.

Lloris
Aurier Toby Jan Davies
Sissoko Dier
Son Dele Eriksen
Kane

Gazzaniga, Foyth, Rose, KWP, Winks, Lucas, Llorente

That’s what I would go for.
Same team as vs Chelsea with the exception of Vertonghen in for Foyth

Arse will be a tough game. Yes their defence is very poor but they do move the ball around quite well and a pretty sharp in and around the box.

Ultimately it will boil down to whether we make the most of our chances. If we do then will will win but if waste our openings then i fear a narrow loss/draw.

I hope we play the same way as we did against Chelsea and Inter, dont fk about at the back, get it up the pitch.
I hate it when we are the architects of our own downfall. Besides we're biggr and stronger than them. We'll win the ball.

Just discussing this with my cousin, and no fucking way would I take a draw. We're the better side, time to take that last step with our mentality.

Need to believe.
Id like to believe. Im just saying a draw away from home would be decent and Id take it. Arsenal are not that bad and they turn up when we play at their place. We lost 2-0 away to them last year at this moment I would take a draw.

Totally agree that a draw would be decent if it turns out that way but I absolutely wouldn't take that now if offered, we're more than capable of beating them.

Play like we did against Chelsea (likely), we win. Even if we're not as good as we were against Chelsea, we will still be favourites to win. We are that much of a better team than them.

Shame about lamela, ready built for derbys. Little nasty testicle stomp here, a little liver punch their.
All while receiving a yellow max

Arse played a back 5 against Bournemouth and I think it was in preparation for this game.
Doesn't necessarily mean they'll be defensive - we've played that formation enough times these last few years and attack.
But if they have an extra man back there, then it will nullify Lloris booting it long to a front 2, which we've been doing a bit lately to good effect.
We know they will look to press us in possession at the back - they have some nippy strikers who will be fresh.
So... should we match up their formation and play a back 5?

I think there is a case to be made to play Foyth Alderweireld and vertonghen.
But Davies and Aurier do not provide much width as wing backs and both will be tired.
It is not a formula to win the game, but I'd settle for a draw anyway.

I think we should just set up how we did against Dortmund in the CL when we beat them 2-1 away. I think that was a 4231 but we dealt with Aubameyang.

That said in one of the legs Aubameyang had a perfectly good goal ruled offside.

Could be interesting, this one.

Don't think it's a big question at all. Dier has played every single big game for about 4 years and he will play every single one until Poch leaves.

Was dropped for Barcelona.

I thought it was a mistake to do so and he changed the game when he came on, although almost by proxy as winks improved dramatically with dier as his partner.
