Vorm
Aurier Dier Vertonghen Rose ( if fit )
Wanyama Dembele
Eriksen Lamela Dele
Son

Lloris Sanchez Alderweireld Davies Moura Sissoko Kane

We have played worse in our last 2 games with a half fit Kane than without him. I say give him 30 minutes to really put himself about and prove his fitness or he doesn’t play against United either. Interchange Son and Dele positionally like we did at Chelsea .

We was awful for 45 mins against Chelsea with son up front. We got lucky Eriksen pulled a worldie out of nothing.

In the games we played while Kane was out we played perfectly well and Son has been excellent. You could equally argue Chelsea got lucky that Lloris gave them a goal. The 3 goals we scored were before Kane came on.
Of course a fully fit Kane starts every time but a half fit Kane doesn’t.

Tbh I think Son has been pretty meh since Bournemouth game. He’s far better out wide on the left.

From our recent games I'd say we would be better with Kane on the bench and Son up top.
But we can't do that as it would piss off Kane chasing the top scorer title. But he's way off form, and we looked good with a more fluid front 4. Obviously we need to build up Kane too.

10. Kane

7. Son - 23. Eriksen - 27. Lucas

15. Dier - 19. Dembele

3. Rose - 5. Vertonghen - 6. Sanchez - 24. Aurier

1. Lloris (c)

subs.
Vorm, Alderweireld, Davies, Wanyama, Sissoko, Lamela, Dele

Kane needs to play to get match fit. Always off the pace after a layoff...

People seriously think Vorm would do a better job. That's like moaning over getting an iron bar up your butt, and asking to have the iron bar well heated over a fire next time in hopes it will feel better.

Vorm hasn't made any mistakes this season though so I can understand it.

I don't think dropping Lloris for a spell would be productive though, he's a confidence keeper.

Because he hasn't played many frigging games :D

And most of them have been against far lesser opposition.

If we lose- or even draw- this game, the wheels might well and truly come off. We have NOT secured top-4 yet, which is infinitely more important than winning the FA Cup (however difficult that is to hear). In today's game, being- or not being- in the Champions League is as vital as can be imagined. We simply can NOT play the FC Ghweulsbklblvbka's of the world in our first year at the new stadium. I am as hopeful as anybody else that we win the FA Cup, but suggesting that we "rest players" in order that they are fresh for Saturday is absurd.

We're Spurs; we could EASILY fuck up fourth place and live to regret it BIG TIME. Some on here are acting as if we're already top-4; this kind of thinking is basically this season's version of "Mind the Gap."

Taking United into account, My choice would be

Lloris
Aurier
Alderweireld
Dier
Rose

Wanyama
Sissoko

Lamela
Lucas
Son

Kane

Bit risky, but I think Chelsea are gonna drop my points anyway, they've got a couple tricky games

When I hear them say that I'm not even sure they believe it themselves, should we screw up at Brighton we could be playing Watford 1 point ahead of Chelsea, still plenty of work to be done, we only have to remember 2 years back when the wheels came of challenging for the title, all sorts of crap results at the end meant we came 3rd in a two horse race.

Pretty sure Dembele cannot start both this game and the United one, and if he does I'd be worried about his performance in the latter. It's way against how he's been used and he doesn't have the recovery time to start 3 games in 8 days. Put Wanyama in.
Rotate the full-backs, Lucas and Son.
Dunno about the rest.

Kane is obviously not match fit so 3 games in 1 week isnt a good idea. Aurier and Rose(if fit) will keep their places against Utd as well.

All you people dropping Hugo is shameful, to say the least. Guy’s going through a rough patch but he’ll break out of it and make you all look like idiots. He’s been with us through thick and thin and stuck around when we were dreadful. Maybe we stick by him too and show him as much faith and trust as he showed us. The man’s still a world class keeper so please, for the love of god, have a word with yourselves.
