Aaron Lennon and Robbie Keane are available for selection for Sunday's FA Cup third round tie at Cardiff.

Martin Jol revealed the good news at Spurs Lodge this afternoon.

Aaron has been laid low of late with inflammation of his knee and missed our last six matches while Robbie has make a quick recovery from medial ligament damage suffered against Middlesbrough on December 5.

Martin reported: "Aaron Lennon will be considered for selection, I don’t know if he will start but he looks right and there is no pain.

Robbie Keane is also back, he trained well yesterday and today, has worked hard on his conditioning and he looks well."

Hossam Ghaly is the main doubt for the weekend after splitting his lip and losing teeth at Portsmouth while Ledley King, Jermaine Jenas, Mido and Paul Stalteri remain sidelined.

Martin added: "Hossam Ghaly is a player we will have to make a late assessment on. His lip is healing well, he had had some dental work carried out and we’ll make a decision tomorrow.

"JJ is running well, doing fine. He had an ankle fracture and that’s never easy and it will take him another couple of weeks.

Ledley has a bruised foot, he’s been doing some gym work and he will hopefully be fit for selection next week.

"Mido has a groin strain, he is also doing some conditioning work but needs another week.

Paul Stalteri has a thigh strain, he’s progressing well but will be out for another 10 days."

The longer Mido is injured the better!!

We really missed the pace of Lennon over Xmas, if selected he will tear the sheep shaggers apart.

This kind of post really pisses me off.

    You're not a supporter, you're a shithead.

Supporters do not wish injuries on their team's players. No exceptions.
  4. Arnoldtoo
Duff by name, and clearly duff by comment.
  5. BIGSMITHY
Does Anyone Know If Taarabt Is In The Squad For Sunday?
  6. spursintheblood
Agree with that sentiment. Mido is an effective striker. Any moron who likes any player (even Gooner ones) to be injured needs to look at themselves in the mirror.

    you fucking nob jockey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

less offending comments have come from the back end of my dog!!!!!!!!!!

Agree mostly but given the opportunity I would love to take a baseball bat to the legs of the number 14 wearing french twat who shall not be named!!!!!!!!

I did not realise the extent of Jenas' injury... Rest him until the break heals fully.

Keep King rested until he is fully fit also.

Rest Hossam Ghaly - he deserves it after getting booted in the head.

To the guy who wants Mido out.... Fuck off, you may as well support the Woolwich scum.

Calm down, calm down. Post Christmas stress kicking in I think!

Everyone on the Matzdorf bandwagon once again...!!
  12. Kingstheman
Maybe this is a bandwagon worth jumping on.

Are we not supporters of Spurs, the club and its players.

Or are we ungrateful arse-boils, who want our players to be injured. :bang:

The longer you burn in hell the better.....actually thats prob a tad harsh...how bout you stop the Mido bashing and actually contribute something constructive!

    Knob.

Silly post. I don't think it really needed me for this "bandwagon" to get going. I just happened to log on at the right moment to see Duff's twisted little post appear.

    From the BBC:

Tottenham (from): Robinson, Chimbonda, Lee, Davenport, Dawson, Malbranque, Huddlestone, Lennon, Zokora, Defoe, Berbatov, Keane, Lennon, Davids, Tainio, Cerny, Murphy, Ghaly, Ziegler, Alnwick, Gardner.

I could really see us loosing tomorrow!! In fact if I was a supporter of any other club I'd probably be putting a punt on the worst club away from home in the premiership against a tough hostile team supported by wife beating welsh chavs as a prime candidate for an upset. In fact the only thing holding me back is that this seems so much the obvious choice for an upset that it wouldnt really be an upset - and with the resultent punts being placed on the chavs the odds may not even be what they should be. It's just tooo obvious if you catch my whiff.

All in all, what I urge you to do, mr Jol, is err on the side of caution! Play Mido and Defoe. Huddlestone is a must because he has experience at this level. Be weary of picking Zokora or Murphy and make sure we're not lacking in bite!

That's Lennon twice, anyone you forgot? Or is 20 men the maximum match squad? I'm never sure...

Strange if both Cerny and Alnwick travel...

Very happy both Lennon and Keane are fit. And I agree that the guy saying JJ ought to be rested until fully healed, no matter how much we might want him to play, same with King. Also nice to know Ghaly's recovering well.

Good spot! This is a bit left field of the original post but just imagine if we could name two Lennons on the bench! Who else would you love to name two of....? Probably King (no disrespect to D-awsome) but imagine King Ledley I and King Ledley II together !!?!

I'm really wondering if two Berby's would work. Both players could make room for eachother and give sweet passes. But it could be a disadvantage if you have two exact the same strikers. Don't know really.
