    INJURY NEWS:

Martin Jol reported no additional injury concerns from the UEFA Cup win against Dinamo Bucharest as preparations begin for Sunday's trip to Manchester City.

    Source: Official Site

Robbie Keane (knee) and Jermaine Jenas (ankle) remain out, Didier Zokora is suspended and Teemu Tainio remains a doubt after missing Thursday night's victory through illness.

Martin said this afternoon: "There are always a few little knocks but there are no big problems and everyone came out of the game well. I think we will be fine for Manchester."

Lets just keep Jermaine Defoe fit and healthy.... Methinks he's on the start of a nice little roll....! :hump:
  2. keepthefaith
Dont know why I have a funny feeling hes gonna rest Berby and play Mido on Sun. Really hope Im wrong.
  3. alfiespurs
I think he will, Berbs will be on the bench ....:hump: :hump: :hump: :hump:

Is Mido offcially fit again now? He must be busting to get out there.
  5. BringBack_leGin
Lets pray that Martin Jol does what he should and stics, player for player, with a side who won well by playing some beautiful football!
  6. That Guy
Except Zokora, since he's suspended. Should just stick Malbranque in for him.
  7. gdoguk22
Yeh we should do that new diamond formation:
Ghaly on right, Malbranque on left, Hudd in front of defence, lennon behind strikers
  8. jenko
Well the last time he played was when he came on against leverkusen for the last 14 mins and he was a totally lazy B*stard..... That, from a substitute when he were only holding onto a 1 goal lead. He's had it all to prove ever since in my opinion so it'll be interesting. I can see him getting the hump at playing 2nd fiddle to Berbatov, he never had that problem last year but we've all seen him in action for egypt/Roma.....?
  9. xmastreeformation
I'm not sure Jol will rest Berbatov. Whilst its probably time to give him a rest. He and Defoe are starting up a good partnership (even though they look like they are competing for top scoring striker). He won't want to disrupt that.
  10. somersetyiddo
Think he'll stick with berb n defoe Mido will come in against southend
  11. DC_Boy
Strnge that the official site doesn't mention Dawson's suspension either
  12. spurs4europe
surely it makes more sense to stick with berbs and defoe now, and swap berbs and mido for the southend game, to bring on berbs if necessary.
  13. fvolsen
jol will never play mido against city. berb and defoe are on fire at the momemt and it could be costing us points to start mido upfront. he just isn't good enough!
if daws is suspended, i hope we'll play this team:
robinson, BAE, Davenport, King, Chimb - Malbranque, Hudd, Davids, Lennon - Berb, Defoe
(i guess edgar is very hungry for a start now, and we'll need his qualities against a strong city)
  14. Steady_nethercott

Davids has his bulging eye syndrome still doesnt he
  15. NeverRed06
want to see berbatov and defoe upfront still but mido should play against southend

is dawson suspended ive heard that he is from the bbc but no one else has mentioned it

    robinson
    chimbonda dawson (davenport) king assou-ekotto
    ghaly lennon huddlestone malbranque
    berbatov defoe

lennon should play in that diamond attacking position like he did against charlton

but MJ could play wid lennon on left, ghaly on right and malbranque in the centre with huddlestone
  16. DC_Boy
Yes Dawson is suspended - It's on FA.com anyway - but a lot of the media and the Spurs official site are either unaware or not mentioning it.
  17. egyptianfan
If Berbatov need to be rested, MJ would done that vs. D.Bucharest, as the game vs. Man City is more important, and the bulgarian is clearly ahead of the Egyptian now.

I think he'll start with Berby tommorow, and with Mido in the cup.
  18. mart_loves_me
According to bbc dawson is avaliable...
  19. DC_Boy
According to a lot of the media Dawson is available - but that I'm afraid reflects on them - see FA.com - he's suspended
