:) Q8 - I seriously disagree with marking Robbo down cos he didn't have much to do - that's not his fault - he should get a 7 -

6 for Kaboul and 8/9 for Berbs - pure joy to watch

Robinson 6 - looked more assured and some god distribution
Chimbonda 6 - needs to get back quicker though was a 'handful' up front too
Lee 6 - was outpaced at times but better than midweek
Dawson 7.5 - seems to be improving - looked especially solid during those last nail biting 5 minutes
Kaboul 6 - when he remembered that he was a centre half very effective, very wasteful long passes though
Zokora 6.5 - better once he settled in after first 10 mins
Jenas 7.5 - good tackles, a few good distributions and generally sound
Lennon 7.5 - Unlucky to be substituted, caused big problems for City
Malbranque 8 - Wonderful tackles, biting their ankles, never say die attitude
Bent 5 - Worrying
Berbatov 7.5 - Flair, panache, class touches - but little understanding with Bent

Subs:
Defoe 7 - great goal, up yours Sven
Boateng 7 - love him, really hungry, solid, up for it
Tainio 7 - gave us a few seconds of relaxation at end of match

Manager:
Ramos 8 - gave us our first premiership against a proper side. 3 valuable points. Job done.

I thought Steed was outstanding today. Showed work in defence and without the ball that would put a lot of players in the shade

Robbo- 6 very little to do

Chimbonda- 7 did well today
Dawson- 7 also seemed to do well
Kaboul- 6.5 would also be a 7 but half point off for all the shit long balls
Lee- 7 didnt expect him to play, but did well, and even after another horror tackle on him

Lennon-6 looked better, but still needs improvment
Jenas- 7.5 all over the pitch today
Zokora- 7 seemed livley, still wish he was more forward passing
Malbranque- 8.5 another good game for steed, and unlucky not to score

Bent- 5 started off well, then faded into nothing
Berbatov- 8 started to show what he can do again

Subs-
Defoe- 7 looked livley and willing to run with and without the ball
Boateng- 7.5 did exreamly well for the 2nd goal(think it was KPB) chased a header clear to keep it live and then passed to steed, played very well when on as well
Tainio- cant rate, didnt atchaly see him do much

Why do people rate Jenas so hard all he does is sideways and backward passing, never passes infront on him hes create like 2 chances in a full 90 mins for the strikers. For a CM player for a suppose top 5 club that aint good enough

First poster said about Kaboul long balls, Jenas is the one who loves passing to him if our defense cant rely on anyone in CM to create chances what eles are they ment to do but long balls.

Zokora needs some one who can run off him when he has the ball but Jenas seem like he cant do that

something tells me that you haven't seen the wigan game, were he was fantastic, (and I used to think Jenas was useless), the one problem about him is the lack of consistency , when low on morale he is dreadful but when high on morale he is stunning (at times)

jenas was great, kaboul had a few gd bits and pieces but still wasnt convincing at all. steed is one hell of a workhorse and is really impressing me. berba was great, defoe linked up well with him. poor old lee got a concussion the other day and nerly got his leg snapped in 2 by that idiot Ireland today. Boateng looks very good but him and Jenas wont work.

Bent is a joke, I dont care, he's had some chances and he doesn't even look hungry or sharp or anything, I keep believeing he'll eventually click and get that Charlton form back but he has missed so many easy chances for us this season its absurd! I relly dont know what to think anymore as he hasnt improved or settled at all!

Malbranque shows again he's our steadiest performer this year.

Zokora has been playing very well, too, the last few games, at mid or back.

Berbs is at a different level than anyone else on the team.

Im still waiting for Lennon to develop a finishing touch, but even as is he puts too much presure on the opposition to bring him off.

IMO, every other spot should be up for grabs.

Bent was always rubbish he never scored strikers goals at Charlton all his goals was scrappy defensive mistakes. yeah he got 16 goals at Charlton only because he was there only striker

Malbranque MOTM. Didn't show how good he was on the highlights tonight, but he was immense in his tracking back and tackling.

Berbs also showed glimpses of excellence and Defoe looked right up for it when he came on. Kaboul & Dawson did very well defensively, both need to work on their distribution though.

YPL had a shaky start but got better as the game went on. Chimbonda had a good game, as did Lennon. Robbo didn't have one shot to save apart from the goal and Jenas was average today.

Special mention for Zokora. Despite a couple of wayward passes, worked his balls off and made a tackle near the end which was met with cheers like we'd scored a third.

The fans were average today, probably because everyone stayed up to watch the fight and were knackered. Oh, and everyone who cheered ironically when Bent's number was held up, you're a ****. And no doubt it was the same people who groaned aggressively like we were losing 6-0, every time Kaboul wasted a pass. That'll do his confidence bundles of good won't it. Thankfully he got a bit more support in the second half and showed his appreciation at the end.
