Early, but an interesting one already. Would like to get some rest into as many of them as possible post Watford, i think a big part of our lethargy at the moment is tiredness and one or two of them carrying knocks, so:

Vorm
Aurier - Dier (c) - Foyth - Rose
TOB* - Winks
Edwards* - Lamela - Son
Llorente
Bench, anyone who is healthy but don't want to see Jan, Sanchez, Eriksen, Dembele or Kane anywhere near it.

* I fully expect Poch to choose Sissoko ahead of one of these.

Would be shocked if we see Edwards to be honest and Lamela is not in our CL squad for these stages :)

Have you taken in to account who is actually in the Champions league squad?

*would love to see Edwards, though will probably play for the u19s

No way should Dier be playing, he's played every minute for club and country so far this season, give him a rest.

Interesting question... With this in mind, I’d like to see the following team.

Robbo
KWP Alderweireld King Tramezzani
Lamela Wanyama Dier Ginola
Keane Me

It’s a tough one. Half of me thinks we need to rest all key players, get some confidence into those who have had fewer minutes and use our depth, other half of me thinks we should get a full strength team out, hopefully spank them and go into the next league game with a spring in our step. I think the Watford outcome will dictate my final thoughts on the matter.

Vorm,

KWP, Foyth, Davies, Rose

Winks, Sissoko

Edwards, GNK, Son

Llorente

As few first teamers as possible maybe even sprinkle some more youth. Harrison and Sterling on the bench, Sashoua too

As long as we rest Eriksen and Kane
I said this in another thread, and I know not many will agree, but I really want Kane to play for an hour just to increase the chance of him grabbing another goal or three.

That said, I'd completely understand why he could be rested.

Rest Kane, Eriksen, Dier, quite possibly Alli. (some/all can be on the bench if we want)

Give starts to KWP, Foyth, Vorm, Llorente

I would love to see TOB start, Edwards get significant minutes (even better if he starts) and any other youngsters play but not sure it will happen.

Now is the time to give the youngsters a chance to get experience, and also put the first team under a bit of pressure, however slight.

It would be nice to see one of our own be the top goalscorer, to be fair.

Agree re the Watford game, if we don't get a positive result there then it could be a risk sending a second string out to play Apoel, who until the Madrid game last week didn't look like mugs.

Not a tough one for me. We are playing poorly I think because a lot of players are tired and there is a lack of competition. Poch would be absolutely fucking crazy to go full strength in my opinion. Alli, Kane and Eriksen especially should be nowhere near the matchday squad.

Rest the key players, give some backups and young ones a run to see if they can be trusted in more important games. It won't matter if we get beat and I still don't think we'll get spanked.

Where's the risk? Unless we get beat 4 or 5 it's fine and even then we'll all quickly realise the kids were just given a run and it'll be quickly forgotten about. We'll get over the embarrassment.

Much rather a couple of days of bitterness than it affecting our league position come May.

Risk being that if we don't beat Watford, thats 4 without a win in the league, a potential tonking against Apoel isn't going to do much for confidence!
