Last time round to give them their due they were tactically superb. Completely shut down our central midfield passing options and got their forwards making lethal early runs through the gaps between the CB's and FB's throwing us off our game. It's the best way to play us. Scare our FB's early, if they're shaky they'll stay deep away from the midfield. Swamp the one or two ball players we have and you can then rely on us to be predictable through the middle and play with no width.

If they don't try it again they're idiots so we need to have pacy options at fullback who can join the midfield but still recover quickly. Rose and Aurier for this game.

Sob story incoming.

I won't be watching at all tomorrow. Our car packed up a couple of weeks ago so we've had the fun job of sorting out a replacement. And guess what? Yep, we pick up the new one tomorrow at 12. By the time we've done all the paperwork, returned the car we've been borrowing and got home I very much doubt there will be much of the game to go.

Lloris

Trippier
Sanchez
Vertonghen
Davies

Wanyama
Dembele

Eriksen
Dele
Son

Kane

Subs: Toby, Dier, moura, Lamela, Aurier, Llorente, Rose

Edit: hmm should have a keeper on the bench, vorm in place of aurier/rose/llorente, don't mind which. Personally I would leave Rose out, but he would have a fit.

Think the team is pretty obvious on what it will be.

Only wild card for me is whether poch thinks Davies for CL game instead as he's sharper than rose but unlikely.
Same team as Liverpool

Interesting considerations here. What I would say is that 4-2-3-1 seems like a better fit for this games as we want to be going forward and pressuring their defence. To that point it is pointless having two full backs in the bench for this game as changes will either be to bring on more pace and trickery to help us score or midfielders to help us keep control.

be interesting to see who Poch leaves out for this one. With a fully fit squad we have options

I would love to see us play our 3 at the back formation. Not sure who those 3 will be.

Reasons being (imho)

1) We can stop their so called attack (which i personally think is overrated)

2) Our best formation imo.

Problem is if we play 3 at the back there is no place for Son.

Play eriksen in the deeper midfield role next to Dier or Wanyama (which means Dembele drops to the bench), so Son and Alli can play behind Kane. All members of the fab four retain their places. Solved.

I hope team will be:

Lloris
Davies, Jan, Toby, Sanchez/Dier, Trippier
Dembele, Wanyama
Eriksen, Alli
Kane

Bench from whomever fit.

Not against Arsenal.

I'd like to adjust my projected line-up. After thinking about it, I believe Poch will want Wanyama, Dembele, and Aurier to start vs Juve. So:

------------------------Hugo
Trippier - Toby - Sanchez - Jan - Davies
------------------Dier
--------------------------------Dele
---------Eriksen---------------------Son
------------------------Kane

Subs: Lamela, Wanyama, Winks, Llorente, Rose, Moura, Vorm

It's funny how far we've come and they've stood still

Just thinking we just sign lucas moura and he won't start primarily because he hasn't earnt the right to ahead of son or Alli

They sign just sign mkhitaryan and auba and wenger has to throw them straight in.

Those 2 wouldn't get into our starting 11. Micky might not even make the bench.

I hope we show our superior quality this time.

You’re right buddy, all those trophies we’ve hoovered up recently whilst that lot have won fuck all.

hmmm okay? not quite sure what you mean or trying to say really.
I didn't say we're a bigger club, or win more trophies
I said our first 11 is superior. which it is, and that their new signings wouldn't make our first 11 which they wouldn't . they haven't progressed from highbury were as we have from that period
