With Dier being out now there is no way I can see Sissoko being risked in this game.

Think Skipp and Winks will start.

Agreed. For Everton though who knows. Should be Winks and Sissoko but can Winks play two games in 4 days?

With the Bournemouth and Wolves matches coming shortly after we may have to put Dele in central midfield for one of those.

I'd be tempted to drop Eriksen back alongside Sissoko against Everton. And I'd play Lamela, Dele and Son behind Kane.

I’d worry about playing like that away from home against a decent Everton side but given our lack of options in the middle I guess we don’t have much choice. The squad is going to be stretched to the limit over the next couple of weeks, that’s for sure.

I think Sissoko is such a machine in there at the moment it might work quite nicely, Eriksen could really control the game for us with the powerful Sissoko beside him.

I like Lamela in away games like this, his graft and pressing from the front sees us win the ball high up the pitch more.

Lucas a good bench option for this one.

You make some good points, hopefully you’re right mate ?

I do agree with you though, it's a bit daunting having no recognised holding player at the moment, but Poch will come up with something effective, certain of that.

This won't go down well but I really think our fans need to wake up on this one a bit. If we weren't playing Arsenal and even more so if we hadn't recently lost to them, the predicted lineups would be very different. Those saying we need to go full strength are letting hearts rule heads.

Arsenal are going to rotate. They've just lost in the league and need to take that more seriously than the league cup. They also have a number of injuries in defence and can't run the risk of getting more injuries, particularly to someone like Koscielny who has just got back to full fitness.

We need to rotate ourselves. Rose was out on his feet against Burnley so he certainly can't play. We have injuries at CB and CM and I have no interest in seeing Kane or Eriksen out there either. I'm not gonna predict a lineup as I have no idea how will be fit but I think Llorente deserves a shot after being good off the bench lately. I also think his experience and hold up play will work well against any young defenders Arsenal might play. Lamela should play for his energy. Winks, KWP and Son could all start as well after being on bench. Don't be surprised if Eyoma gets a start as well as he was on bench at wknd.

The fact remains that this is the League cup. Arsenal or not, Quarter final or not, we have to see the bigger picture. It's more important to keep our squad fit for the league, champions league and even FA cup. League cup is bottom of the priority list in my view.

After seeing them defending early crosses yesterday I think we should start llorente and have Kane on the bench. Seems we’ve started crossing the ball in to llorente now so if we do that on Wednesday we might have a bit of luck.

I wouldn’t rest many but our Christmas schedule is a pain. Hardly any rest between games at all compared to the other top 4 clubs

I think if Jan and Toby are fit then they need to start. That give's us a solid foundation to tweak further upfield. I also have no qualms over Gazza playing either.

Gazza
KWP Toby Jan Davies
Winks Skipp Eriksen
Lamela
Moura Son

Kane, Dele, Sissoko, Llorente plus 3 others depending whose fit on bench

Arsenal are crocked at the back and Koschielny just did his first 90 since last season, he'll be feeling it. Get Eriksen/Lamela pulling Torreria out of his protection position, open the space for the other and use the pace of Moura and Son to exploit their backline.

I think people like you are scared we would lose to a weakened arsenal side when we are full strength. The next CL game is 2 months away so no need to rest for that. We just need to win this shitty cup so I want to go close to full strength as possible. Our next league game is Sunday

It’s after that we have a problem though. We’ve got 4 games (including Everton) in 9 days.
