Point here for me it's to try to use the pace of Son and, particularly, Lucas to destroy them on the break. The form we're in at the moment means we'll almost certainly lose playing our normal game

Oh and not resting Harry. He would play most of second half. I know it will never happen of course but this thread is about what we think should happen

I am tempted to get rid of Tripps and Dier and just play four at the back (Rose as left back cum forward) and have six all out attackers (Lucas and Llorente to replace the aforementioned two)

That means Dier will deffo start, not sure if that will be in midfield or defence tho. I think Poch will go with three at the back, one of which will be Dier. Meaning Wanyama and Winks in midfield.

We've got to thicken up midfield against them. The key is denying Messi and company any space around the edge of the box, and also being able to break out of tight spots when we get the ball. They've got a bit of a makeshift back four, so we can counter dangerously.

You have to have Winks in there so we have someone who can transition the ball from defence to attack, and retain possession to take some pressure off of the back 4.

Umtiti is suspended, Sergi Roberto (their left back) got injured on the weekend and Malcolm has been left out of the squad.

I think Umtiti is going to be a big miss but not sure on the others as Alba should be able to slot in. However, as our midfield is slow, ponderous and pass side ways, I'm not sure we'll be able to exploit their central defence.
