And what about Chelsea, who are at least as good as Arsenal and he had a stormer against?

Also, make no mistake, Leicester away is a fucking hard game, probably the hardest outside the ‘big 6’.

I'd say Everton away is tougher than Leicester away.

Why not ?
Not dynamic enough.

+ Loses the ball too much pfaffing about.

Barca ain't L'ster.

Del blows hot and cold (often tepid)

He has 10 average games and then a decent game against a 'L'ster' and all of a sudden he's set to be lit against Barca. lol No.

I'd ask for a very specific 20/30 mins focused, high energy from him from the bench rather than start him and have him losing the ball high up and them countering like whirlwinds, gaining initiative and momentum and punishing us.

I think he - and he knows this deep down - has 30% more he can give in games, but sits in his languid, floaty "I got this" style too much, because he's fully aware of his potential...which he still hasn't fully reached.

The best Dele is the Dele that's just wound someone up and they've retaliated and he gets his stink on and then you get a 15% bump out of him through the natural nasty that comes out of him.

No secret that I think he's overrated (currently).

I think we need to set up, frustrate and fight in this game and then possibly adjust the shape and personnel after we've established ourselves and felt the game out.

If we go toe-to-toe they'll score more than us, as we're not clinical enough, don't make high enough value decisions around the box (e.g. Kane being greedy when there's a simple ball on for a clear shot at goal) and won't be able to recover quick enough for their attacks as we're depleted and tired (which is odd after we didn't buy anyone in the last window...).

Poch's approach to games can be a bit one-size-fits-all. I'd like to see us/him remember how we played Madrid when we beat them and apply that more often in important, high-level games, like this.

Set up, be compact, fight, feel the game out and then make technical adjustments.

Energy wise, personnel wise, we are not in a position to go to Barca and say, "ave summa that!".

Injuries and tiredness say, 'don't be silly'.

Give a kid a debut in a critical game away in the Nou Camp instead of one of the brightest stars in world football, who's been playing well lately and just scored his 50th goal from midfield?

Shyeah right...do you ever write any football blogs by any chance?

Sissoko , Dier CM looks a bit clumsy to me, probably one or the other with Winks, but it's how we deal with Messi, assuming he plays, that will decide the game.

Nothing says "don't be silly" like giving an 18 year old his professional full debut in central midfield away at the Nou Camp in a must-win Champions League game.

He came off last night and didn't look too happy.

I don't think I'm that comfortable playing KWP at RB in this game.

Is aurier injured? Alot of people starting with KWP.
Yes. He came off injured yesterday in the 77th or so for KWP.

Ally Gold says Davies might have been injured as well. Sissoko was seen limping by a few people when leaving the stadium. So our injury counter might be up to 9.

There's goals to be had against Barca. Just have to have the will to go full at it.

Lloris

Serge (if fit) Toby Jan Rose

Winks Dele (young, inventive and energetic cm)

Moura Eriksen Son

Kane

Dier on for Moura to go 3 at the back if it's not working with the wing backs. I'd prefer Trippier but is he still out? Think that CM is ready to go, it's industrious and has an eye to link play. Both have box to box capability.

KWB is our only fit RB. And Rose might be our only fit LB. They will start on Tuesday.

"We'll see. We need to assess tomorrow. We don't know. I really don't know if he's going to be ready or not to play." (Aurier)

You mean the game against Real where Dele scored twice and was arguably the best player on the pitch ? I’m sure you will disagree with the review of Dele’s performance that night in the match report below ,
