Theres no way we can go 3 at the back unless you want to completely give up the midfield. Sissoko and Winks partnership? Yeah, no.

I understand the temptation to start Sissoko but in no way, shape or form should we be starting a makeshift player against Barcelona if we dont have to. Use him off the bench. Dier and Winks in midfield.

Can't really argue with Winksy starting, especially if your thinking is around having a ball playing midfielder from deeper to get out quicker and perhaps keep periods of possession. God knows we have had our challenges in that area in some games this season.

My going with Sissoko and Dier together is more for protection of the back 4, particularly with KWP at RB. One thing that has impressed with Moussa recently is the width of ground he covers and the fact that he's probably won as many challenges in fullback areas as he has in central midfield. This could come in handy for an inexperienced RB at Camp Nou but would also mean a busy evening for Eriksen at the top of the midfield triangle. He will have his fair share of tracking back to do and may be a little less advanced than he'd perhaps like, but we'll need his distribution to the wide players to make system this work...

You don't get it, Sissoko will start because he disrupts the oppositon with his pressing and harrying as well as being able to attack the space and cause havoc in the oppo's defence.

He's started against Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City, that should be a massive clue as to how Poch sees him in these matches.

Not being funny but even beating barca's B team which is full of youngsters will be a massive ask at the nou camp. Teams just dont win their regardless. Even if we went 2up they would bring messi on and no doubt he would rescue the.

Having said that i will always believe just like others do. If we can not have any brain-farts and make the most of our chance then who knows.

Best hope is a shock defeat/draw for psv

Yes, but you can definitely get at them. They've only just ended a run in the league where they didn't keep a clean sheet for three and a half months! And they've only been past the quarters in the Champions League once in the last 5 years. We can do this.

I do get it. But this is not the game for a makeshift CM even if he distrupts the opposition. We shouldnt be playing on our front foot where his distruptions works best on their counter attacks when they have numbers to quickly start one of our own. We’re going to be on the back foot all game but will need a deep lying player to get the ball out and perhaps help maintain possession for a period of time. Perhaps you could go with a 433 with Sissoko in but Eriksen, Dele and Son must start this with Kane.

4-3-2-1 for me. Sissoko can help KWP deal with Messi and Dele should be told to stick to Rakitic like he did to Jorginho in the Chelsea game while we're defending. Eriksen will normally drop deeper as well to pick up the ball, as will Son, so most of the time that becomes a midfield 5 with the full backs pushing up.

Lloris

KWP - Toby - Jan - Rose

Sissoko - Dele - Winks

Son - Eriksen

We're not gonna play on the back foot, when has Poch done that? where you been for the past 4 years? lol

Are they really going to play Messi and Rakitic? Surely they will be resting anyway?

Wingbacks for me:

.............................. Lloris ..............................

...... Dier .... Alderweireld ... Vertonghen .....

KW-Peters.... Winks.... Sissoko ...... Rose

..................... Eriksen ..... Alli ...................

.............................. Kane ...........................

This way we can keep it tight at the back, have width and play our best two attacking central midfielders behind Kane. If we need to take risks later on then we’ll have Lamela? Moura and Son on the bench.

I do think we need llorente on the bench for this. Would be very stupid not to have him as an option

Subs: Gazza Davies Winks Skipp Lamela lucas Llorente

Keeping the ball for a bit is crucial so winks needs to start and eriksen needs to play deeper
