He'd always rotate the fullbacks at this point, be interesting to see now whether he rates KWP enough to start when his hands arent tied as I'm sure trip can go again

We've made the keeper decision against Barca, can't drop Hugo now, will raise question around his position and create unrest.

Rotate fullbacks, keeps their legs fresh. Have faith in Walker-Peters.

Lloris
KWP - Alderweireld - Sanchez - Rose
Winks - Wanyama
Lucas - Lamela - Son
Kane

Lloris

KWP Toby Sanchez Rose

Dier Winks

Lucas Lamela Son

Kane

Subs : Gazza, Trippier, Foyth, Skipp, N’Koudou (is he even registered?), Sissoko, Llorente

Perfect game to play KWP, if Poch doesn’t play him in a game like this then he may as well pack his bags. It’s looking more and more like Wanyama has gone the way of Sandro, he has been a shadow of his pre injury self. I don’t even know if GKN is PL registered but that bench needs some kind of spark

Gazzaniga, Foyth/Davies, Skipp, Wanyama, GKN, Sterling, Llorente
Also, if Lamela isnt fit than 442 with Llorente and Kane partnering or 433 with Skipp in. Possibly slot Sterling or GKN into the team. Just please resist the Sissoko temptation, Mauricio.

This. I'd rather have an u15 player on the bench.

Foyth is one of our best passers of the ball - all ranges.

Perfect pivot.

He also likes to surge forward.

Best DM waiting to happen; but poch talks "brave" then goes Dier.

Yes, I know...you disagree...don't you get it yet??

I don't care. :D
I agree with you. There’s something rather classy about this young man.

Rose > Davies now that he's fit again. KWP deserves a chance and this kind of game is perfect for him. Winks wasn't good initially vs Barca but was better once Dier came on. Dier has been shit this season but he brought out the best from Winks so prepared to give him a chance in this one. Lloris made a proper howler and has been off this season but still deserves a chance to turn it around IMO. If he can get his confidence back he's still miles better than Vorm or Gazzaniga.

Have a really bad feeling about this game. Make no mistake, last night would have taken a hell of a lot out of the players legs, especially Kane. Unfortunately it looked like Lamela had done his calf muscle so probably won’t see him either.

I can see this being one of those games where we play shit, the crowd will be silent / restless and Cardiff get a goal from a shitty long throw or something to either win or draw with us.

All of our biggest players in each position, because the ball won't be on the ground a lot & it will be a battle before it becomes a football match, if it ever does.

Why would you play him alongside Wanyama ? Are 2 DMF’s at home not a bit overly cautious?

As an earlier poster asked it prompted me to have a search on N'Koudou. All I could find was his exploits for us in pre season. I was wondering does anyone know whats up with him and why he hasnt played? Is he injured or is he behind Sissoko in bench selection pecking order ?

He can pass, he's strong, likes to push forward and has good pace.

There's no downside imo.

If Eriksen was fit I'd maybe stick him next to him here against Cardiff.

But with Foyth/Vic in there it does give you a bit more security when FBs push right up as he has good recovery.

Vic sits for the most part.

That strong (yet flexible) centre allows FBs and front 4 to dominate against a team low on quality, goals, results and confidence.
