New year, new broom. Id like to see gazza get a run of games, hugo has had a poor season by his standards, on and off the pitch. Roles to get his debut, as sis and winks need a rest.

Funnily enough it might be time for Foyth in midfield. Sissoko and winks aren’t fit enough to play another game there.

Skipp can’t play in there against Cardiff away. It will be a battleground out there in the middle of the park.

Just play KWP and Rose as fullbacks, or one of them at least. I have nothing against them but we're a stronger team when Davies and Trippier aren't starting together IMO.

If we were tired for Wolves we won’t be any less tired for Cardiff, particularly with our lack of options in midfield.

We’ll just need to grind out a result somehow and then change the team completely for Tranmere (although even then it will be difficult to rotate the midfielders).

I want us to start going 3 at the back, especially in the absence of Dier in midfield
Something like this for Cardiff:
Lloris
Toby Sanchez Davies
Aurier Sissoko Eriksen Rose
Alli
Kane Son

Vertonghen clearly comes in for Davies when he is fit who then in turn rotates with Rose. Dier an extra CB option. Would play Sissoko a bit more defensive whilst Winks has a rest but Winks would suit this formation well. Aurier is a better defender than Trippier for me and should be fresh after his injury. KWP also suits this formation.

Lloris has earned his dues with Spurs, the first goal against Wolves, Sanchez made no attempt, the second wen't through Toby's legs and Lloris saw it late, the third, our whole defense was split open, again not on Hugo, he saved us against Southampton earlier this month at Wembley, Poch will stick with Hugo, but I do like Gazza.

Yeah I'm not sure they were Lloris' fault. The first maybe he could have got more of a hand to but I wouldn't hold it against him. The second I'm not sure, looked like it reached a corner that was hard to get to but there have been a few of those shots that have trickled in, like Lacazette earlier in the season and it's hard to know if the keeper should get them or not, but they are frustrating as hell to watch go in.

I still think Lloris' sweeper actions are very much so underrated, him rushing off his line and closing the space is vital to our play.
