Just realized I am not going to be able to watch this tomorrow since I am taking the kids to Star Wars, so with that in mind:

May the Foyth be With Us!!!

They absolutely murdered us at the Etihad last year yet we walked away with a 2-2 draw - and scoring one of the most beautiful team goals when Son equalised.

We have to be prepared to defend but we also have to be confident enough to play good attacking football.

Ya they really tore into us last year. . Still cannot figure out how we managed a draw! Think if we execute our counter attacks well we can really get at them.. let's get Sonny running at walker as often as possible aswell..

Lots of people leaving Dele out, and on form I can understand why. Can't for one second not see him starting on Saturday though, in form or not. He is a big game player and has a very good record in the bigger Prem games, ID be amazed if he doesn't start.

I think we will line up very similar to how we did v Madrid personally only with Son over Llorente.
yup...Citeh would be happy to see Dele on the bench to be honest.
Hugo
Trippier Dier Verts Davies
Winks Dembele Alli
Eriksen Son
Kane

If he starts and gives the ball away as much as he has been, we shall pay dearly for it.

We'll pay dearly any time we give the ball away to the oil slavers no matter who starts.

Brighton showed we desperately miss someone who can make late intelligent runs into the box - Dele may not be the answer but he's got the goals on the board...

Real tough choice for Poch...

Lloris

Aurier
Dier
Jan
Rose

Winks
Dembele

Son
Alli
Eriksen

Kane

Bench:
Vorm
Foyth
Davies
Trippier
Sissoko
Lamela
Llorente

But I think he will play trippier ans Davies
Pretty much nailed everything here. That will be the team besides the full backs. Aurier and Rose should start but Trippier and Davies are nailed on to start.

Probably a really good decision. I’m confident today but I don’t really want to watch!

Got to have belief.

No doubting their quality, but we can't afford to turn up and give them all the respect.

Pick our moments carefully, get at them and we can give them a game.

Strength in character, mentally and physically is the order of the day.

Feel sad that injuries have robbed us of the chance to be flexible.

Lloris
Trippier
Davies
Dier
Vertonghen

Winks
Dembele

Eriksen
Alli
Son

Kane

Everyone is expecting this.

Pochettino has four options outside of this team as far as I can tell:

1. Play the 'quicker' FB's in Rose and Aurier, are they really that much quicker I have my doubts.

2. Play Davies in a 3 and have Rose at LWB.

3. Play Sissoko, you just feel Pochettino might do this either in the middle if Winks or Dembele is unfit or further forward instead of Alli or son. Man City are a small team.

4. Llorente in a front 2.

I feel like Poch will surprise us, just like he did against Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Lloris
Trippier Dier Vertonghen Davies
Alli Dembele Eriksen
Kane Son
Llorente

Use Llorente's presence as a tool to get Son in behind their defence and to give Kane some space. Use Eriksen and Alli in deeper roles to move the ball from defense to attack quicker and more efficiently and have greater counter-attacking strength.

Agreed and I think it will be a mistake as we need the athleticism against their pace and movement. But trippier ans Davies played against Real Madrid so we shall see.

I think he could well start llorente but winks will start so mabye dembele benched?

I don’t think the 5-3-2 that worked vs Madrid and Liverpool is a great idea against them as if we sit deep and give them time they will pick us off but then again if we go at them and press and get it wrong with a high line like we did per season we will get murdered. If we get it right we could win like we did at Home last year .

Also we don’t have the cb’s fit and available for 5-3-2 so probably won’t play that.

Your team is very ‘brave’ 4 defenders , 1 holding them 5 attacking players, it could be genius.

I certainly feel going at them but with a balanced approach is a better play than sitting back like man.u did, look how that worked out for them.

Earn your corn poch.

So, let me get this straight, @zoneD

You think this lineup...

...

...yet this lineup of yours, with two changes...

...would do what exactly?

...ahhh yes - the disappointment of a soul-crushing loss sweetened by the orgasmic release of the spot-on "I told you so"...
...I can accept a written or verbal apology - a small tribute for my patience would also be appreciated...
