Should we stick to 4 in defence then id guess he picks Dier over Sanchez (whos played a lot of matches recently) so im going for :

Hugo
Serge Dier Jan Davies
Big Vic Dele
Lamela Eriksen Sonny
Kane

Just hope he picks something more dynamic than the lineup against Wham
Good to see this back on the front page!!

I’d quite like to see Eriksen play a bit deeper now Wanyama is back. With Lamela, Dele and Sonny stretching the defence behind Kane.

At 23 our squad is perilously skinny imo. 3 currently injured,2 more and it’s kids in the bench. And that 23 has x3 RB and dembele made of glass. Either we have to bring back Onomah promote a kid to 1st squad or get a body in.rant over.
Lloris
Aurier Sanchez vertonghen davies
Wanyama
Eriksen dele Lamela
Son Kane

Bench; vorm Dier trips sissoko dembele Edwards llorente

Aurier-Sanchez-Jan-KWP
Wanyama-Dele/Eriksen
Lamela-Dele/Eriksen-Son
Kane

Is my wish. I worry about Bolasie vs. KWP or Davies even though 90% of his crosses get hoofed to Neptune because we have been periously erratic in defensive setup on counters. But I expect that to be Everton's plan. Sit back and hoof it for Bolasie to chase and cut back to an on rushing attacker. In that case I prefer KWP's speed and his ability to get in behind and create chances. Davies started off the season on fire with his creation abilities but that seems to have fizzled out a bit and he's lost a bit of that swagger. Fully expect Davies to start all the same but figure I might as well throw my Walker-Peters hat in the ring.

I’m against starting all Eriksen, Son, Dele & Lamela as I believe you need at least one credible player on bench who can come on and change it.

Lamela should start on the bench imo

I agree that Lamela should start on the bench but more because I think we can only play two of Eriksen, Dele and Lamela at a time because none of them will stay wide and open up space.

Would rather play 3 at the back with Eriksen deep beside Wanyama and supporting Son and Dele playing in support of Kane. Lamela can then be an impact sub as Everton tires.

Possible Everton line up:
Pickford. Kenny. Holgate. Jags. Martina. Gana. Mccarthy. Bolaise. Siggy. Lookman.tosun

Defence looks really dodgy to me. Think they may play 3 at back. No doubt park the bus.

He won't drop Dier, he always plays. With big Vic back can see MP being tempted into a back 3, Aurier and Davies on the wings. Vic in the middle, Kane up top. With a Eriksen, Alli and Sonny behind

Iprefer 3 at the back but I think they'll sit back. In that case we need Eriksen, Dele and Son to all start. Vic and Moussa in CM, Aurier and Davies at FB. Same team as SEANSPURS above.

Everton ARE going to park the bus.
I think we all agree Wanyama will start.
Imo then Dembele will not help us get through them. He slows us down. We need ball players with a bit of skill and vision. Why would you leave Lamela on the bench in that case?
I dont understand the 'if we play him we've no subs' argument. You dont pick your line up based on your subs. You pick your strongest team to win and whats left is whats left. Why would you want to struggle for 70min and then bring him on???? Id rather get in front early and then we dont need attacking to players to come on and try and save the day.
If we cant get through Evertons defence with Son, Kane Alli and Lamela then frankly we're not going to.
And 4 at the back with Wanyama in middle is plenty imo.

Do not want to see Dembele against Everton. We're slow enough moving the ball as it is.

It's gonna be a tough match. Everton's recent form after Big Sam took over is much better and it looks like a team who is enjoying their football again. Allardyce has shapened up the defense so we're gonna have to do a lot of grinding to get through. Hope that Lamela get's a start alongside Wanyama

100% agree with this, I would assume they will go defensive and hope they can nick it. I would not leave Lamela out, we need to play our strongest attacking team.
