Very easy to 'just give it a go' when your selection means nothing. If anyone here was actually picking the team, for real, everyone would pick Davies.

If Toby and Jan are fit I'm confident we'll edge a tough enough game.

They've a good midfield and attack but their CBs are their weak area imo.

Won't be confident if both Toby and Jan don't start though.

I think Everton are a quality side but looking at their line-up last game against Sunderland I genuinely think we are better man-for-man in every position except LB as Rose is injured.

Davies is a solid 6/7 out of 10 most weeks ( Liverpool excluded). Playing nkouduo in a lwb role there is a good chance he would have a stinker and be a early sub imo

I don't think I realized that Everton have not lost in the 2nd half of the season: 5-2-0, with 17 goals for, only 4 goals against.

I hope everyone is healthy for this match - we will need them.

GKN at LWB is actually hilarious.

You want a right footed inverted winger who has barely played in this league and is still young to be thrown in in a Premier league match against a team in form, you're not actually thinking about this are you. :ROFLMAO:

No time to mess about, this is a very hard game. Pick the eleven which will be flying with confidence, they'll have had a week to recover for this and we have a bench with good variety if anything needs to be changed. A fit Rose is all that would affect this, but that is highly unlikely.

Lloris
Alderweireld Dier Vertonghen
Walker ___________________ Davies
Wanyama Dembele

......................Lloris.......................
Walker....Toby.......Jan.......Davies
............Wanyama...Winks............
....Eriksen......Alli......Dembele.....
.....................Kane........................

Alli has been very poor of late, including the Stoke match, but its hard to drop him as no one can play that support striker role better than him despite his frustrating dilly-dallying on the ball and his constant falls and poor touches.

I'd drop Dier, who has been shaky, and play 4 at the back.

Nkoudou hasn't even really shown a semblance of competence yet in his normal position, let alone being tasked with running the whole left flank

injuries permitting it will be unchanged
Wimmer if either of the the centre backs cant play

I think Vertonghen's fitness is more of a concern than Toby at that moment, because:

1) Jan has been brilliant this year.
2) Wimmer hasn't been as solid an understudy as last year (that said, Dier hasn't been great cover for Toby either).
3) Rose's absence means Jan has probably had to do more to support Davies than he normally would with Danny. Noticable that Davies has looked less susceptible with Jan back.
4) It is usually Jan who marks Lukaku and he does it bloody brilliantly. Jan's best games for spurs have tended to be against Everton. He seems to enjoy his battle with his national teammate.

They are in good form, but looking at their results they haven't really beaten anyone of note except City, and that match was a bit of an outlier, where they scored with every shot they had on target.

Everton 2-0 Sunderland
Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton
Everton 6-3 Bournemouth
Stoke City 1-1 Everton
Crystal Palace 0-1 Everton
Everton 4-0 Manchester City
Everton 3-0 Southampton

Surely the club would confirm both players are fine by now. Bit concerning there's nothing come out yet.

Unless it's a bit of mind games/gaining a psychological edge come Sunday when they're both in the line up.

It's only Wednesday, relax.
