No time to mess about, this is a very hard game. Pick the eleven which will be flying with confidence, they'll have had a week to recover for this and we have a bench with good variety if anything needs to be changed. A fit Rose is all that would affect this, but that is highly unlikely.

Lloris
Alderweireld Dier Vertonghen
Walker ___________________ Davies
Wanyama Dembele
Alli Eriksen
Kane

Vorm Trippier Wimmer Winks Sissoko Son Janssen
Although I like the 3 at the back system I have to say verts as the LB of the 3 with Davis worries me. I feel he tries to play like a wing back as Davis doesn't get forward quick enough, and this leaves us weak to the counter atrack. Especially as he gets caught in possession to much for me. Himself and Davis just don't have the understanding he and Rose have when we play the back 3. I would like to see a solid back four for this game. I can see us getting caught to often on the left if not.

Just swap Verts and Davies position on the pitch. Verts is more dangerous than Davies going forward. No need for a back 4

With the exception of the City away game, we continue to play our best, most fluent football with 3 at the back, so we have to continue with that setup. With Rose injured IMO the only question is Winks (who deserves a start) or Dembele. Personally I prefer the way that Winks moves the ball and the time it gives Eriksen to Dembele's better defensive ability, even against a good team in Everton.

Lloris
Dier - Alderweireld - Vertonghen
Walker - Wanyama - Winks - Davies
Eriksen - Alli
Kane

They are in good form, but looking at their results they haven't really beaten anyone of note except City, and that match was a bit of an outlier, where they scored with every shot they had on target.

Everton 2-0 Sunderland
Middlesbrough 0-0 Everton
Everton 6-3 Bournemouth
Stoke City 1-1 Everton
Crystal Palace 0-1 Everton
Everton 4-0 Manchester City
Everton 3-0 Southampton

It's also fair to say that all of their really good results have been at home.

Away from home they've drawn twice and won once and that was against Palace who have been trash.

If we deal with Lukaku (which Toby and Jan should be able to do better than most) and play anywhere near our best then we should be beating Everton.

He didn't take part in a promotional event for Nike as a precautionary measure - nothing to see here, he'll be on that pitch come Sunday folks.

lol Anything to set the pulses racing.

He is probably contractually obligated to take part in the promo and the club advised against it, pretty sure he'll be fine for Sunday and suspect the Mirror know that, that'll generate a fair few clicks from paranoid Spurs fans and rival fans no doubt ;)

I think our set up with 3 at the back is perfect.

Should have one centre attacking threat to deal with, so CBs can out number Lukaku, event if he wins the 1st ball.

Wanyama and Moose should be able to null Berkeley etc. or at least keep them subdued by tracking our guys. Our wingbacks should be more of a tactical worry than theirs, so they should stay relatively conservative in the Colman-esc bombing runs.

No changes. I really do think that Winks is knocking on the door of the first eleven, but Everton are a good side so I would stick with Dembele for this.

Winks will start against Millwall anyway.

If people read the article (using the word loosely) they would have read this bit:

However, Premier League's joint-top scorer trained with his teammates on Thursday and should be fit to face the Toffees at the weekend.
