Ambitious line up. I like it, apart from KWP as LWB. We have Sanchez and Aurier new to the team and system, so having a young KWP playing as a LWB doesn't make sense with all the other change going on. KWP can play both sides, but more natural and at ease on the right. Davies will do the job fine.

Unless Tripps is injured, I dont see him being dropped for Aurier immediately... we know Poch doesn't work this way
Hope I am wrong as want Aurier in as he is different class to Tripps but remember the summer when he was allegedly told he was the first RB..

Tripps is a great back up - games against Watford etc but not first class but I think it is going to take a few weeks for Aurier to displace him, hope I am wrong.

The tripps injury (pulled out of England squad) may help though

If Trippier is injured Aurier should get a debut. I don't see any way Poch drops Dier though and think he'll start at RCB in a 3. Aurier is the only likely change for my money.

What has Davies done to deserve getting replaced by a right back with very little experience? In my opinion Davies has been solid the first games and I would feel a lot more confident having him on the left than KWP.

Poch does not generally bring new recruits in when hasn't had time to coach fully - and the international break prevents this.

So i expect a largely unchanged team but would like to go with -

Lloris

KWP Toby Jan Davies

Eric Moussa

Eriksen Ali Son

Harry

No more 4-2-3-1 as it highlights our deficiencies more, shame for Son but we can't sacrifice the more effective set up just to shoehorn him in

Lloris

Dier Toby JV

Aurier Wanyama Dembele Davies

Eriksen Dele

Kane

Subs: Vorm, KWP, Sanchez, Winks, GKN, Son, Llorente

Trippier has done enough to get dropped. Did you watch the last game? I also don't see him dropping Dier.

Both Sanchez & Aurier have international games on Tuesday so they will arrive back in England Wednesday at the earliest. Therefore their first day training will be Thursday which leaves them two days before the game Saturday. Unfortunately, I highly doubt either will start with only two days training. Obviously if Trippier is injured then it may force Poch's hand but I'll be surprised to see either in the starting line up.

However, personally I would love to see this line up if they are both thrust into action:

Lloris

Sanchez Toby Verts

Aurier Dembele Wanyama Davies

Eriksen Alli

Kane

Bench: Vorm, Walker-Peters, Dier, Winks, Sissoko, Son, Llorente

I'd be very surprised if Poch starts Aurier over Trippier if Trippier is fit. Poch always says the team is picked on merit and to get in the team you have to train better than anyone else in your position. The international break has not helped the new boys in that respect. Not sure how fit Wanyama is as he missed a lot of pre-season and did not make the bench last time out. So I expect Poch to go with a starting XI like this:

Lloris
Trippier Alderweireld Vertonghen Davies
Dier Dembele
Son Eriksen Dele
Kane
I do hope that, having bought players to enable us to play 3-4-2-1, we play this team soon!:

Lloris
Sanchez Alderweireld Vertonghen
Aurier Wanyama Dembele Rose
Eriksen Dele
Kane

I wouldn't be surprised to see Sanchez starting on the bench again, as it would be Sager to introduce one of Sanchez and Aurier at a time, so we don't have an unfamiliar RWB and RCB simultaneously.

Trippier isn't fit, so Aurier is the obvious one to get the nod.

Personally really hope we do use Aurier over Trippier, just to have a more pace reliant outlet. It can be all very one paced when we don't have Son playing or with 2 slow full backs.
