Due to our injury struggles in CM at the moment I wouldn’t be shocked to see us utilise a Back 3/5 more, maybe play a 5-2-3 like Chelsea have last season.

Lloris
Sanchez-Toby-Verts
Trips-Eriksen-Dier-Rose
Lucas-Kane-Alli

Think that gives us defensive stability and a good balance of attacking threat!

Amos in the middle of the park is not physical enough...we need a more physical presence

Eriksen would be dropping deeper with Dier in this setup.

I think Harry needs a rest. I'd put him on the bench but hope we won't require him at all. Give him some light use (in training and in the Fulham match) in preparation for United on the 27th.

I think Harry needs a rest.
Its going to be a long season if we are already talking about this.

He just had 3 weeks off, taking a match off is not going to make much difference. Better that Southgate gives him a rest in September than Poch gives him a match off now...

I want to see a 433 but until Son/Lamela are available I don't see it happening.
We shouldn't play a back 3. There's no need to at home against a promoted side.

And, Kane is not sitting out the first "home" game of the season.

Its going to be a long season if we are already talking about this.

I completely disagree. But, I respect your opinion on the matter. I think starting a guy like Kane just because it's the home opener is completely short sighted, especially when he's looked how he has today.

Lot of fitness dependencies.

Lloris
Alderweireld - Sanchez - Vertonghen
Trippier - Dembele - Dier - Davies
Eriksen - Dele
Kane

Vorm, Walker-Peters, Rose, Amos, Sissoko, Lucas, Llorente

I wouldn't start Kane.

He looked ragged at the World Cup, had no proper pre season and was well off the pace today.

I think it's better to look after his fitness. A week of training, half an hour against Fulham. Another week of training, start at Man Utd.

In addition if we are keeping Llorente we should give him some confidence. What does it say to him that Kane at such a low standard still starts? What would happen if not managing Kane's fitness causes a long term injury?
