DESK are pretty great (Dele, Eriksen, Son, Kane) and ordinarily you wouldn't change them.

With Sonny off, I'm hoping Lucas is less fatigued this week - would like to see him come in and influence the game.

DELK have the potential to be as good if not better than DESK.

Would love to see this. Apart from Aurier would be on the bench and i would expect Sanchez to start. Would really like to see Eriksen, Lamela, Lucas and Alli all starting.

Hopefully Rose and Alderweireld are still in Pochettinos plans. We just cannot afford to let either go this month.
Need to go three at the back and in my opinion this is our best side (maybe a 100% Wanyama in for a Dier).
Good bench as well??
Vorm; Aurier, Davies, Winks, Lamela, Moura, Llorente

I'd do this but swap Eriksen into Dembele's spot and throw Lucas or Lamela up top into the 3.

Sounds like Fulham have issues at CB. Ream and Mawson unavailable. Someone else banned. And another just returned to group. Jokanovic isn’t the clearest on names ?

Yep just coming in to post that. They might have to play a right back at centre half.

Will be nil nil then!

Depending on Dembele's fitness I recon we'll do a 4-2-3-1 with either him or Sissoko joining Dier in the pivot. Then Lucas, Dele, and Eriksen behind Kane, and the usual suspects at the back.

Would love to see Toby reintegrated at some point but I don't think this is the game, we looked a bit plodding last season when we played a back 3 at Wembley against the lower league sides.

Moura will start, Lamela is probably still ahead of him in the pecking order but Poch likes to reintegrate players back slowly. Hopefully Moura can thrive in his proper position and show last week's performance was a blip.

Will be interesting to see who plays at FB, on both sides. Aurier was in full headless-chicken mode last week, even if Tripps is still not 100% I could see Poch going with KWP if he's been doing well in training.

Who we play at LB will show whether Rose has been frozen out or not. Rumours are he's being geared up for a sale, maybe even a loan, which I don't really get as it would surely make our home grown issue worse. Plus he's worth a hell of a lot more to us if we can get him playing well again. Unfortunately my gut feeling is he's off and KWP/Davies is Poch's plan for the rotating LB role, which frankly isn't good enough. We'll see.

Jury is out with Moura , we can only judge him if he plays in a run of consecutive games, so he must start.

To get the best out of Trippier he must play like he did in the WC, he is a better WB than RB plus i want to see Toby back, hence my selection is ...

Hugo

Toby Sanchez Verts

Tripps Eriksen Dier Dele Davies

Moura

Kane

Lucas needs to do a lot more until I feel we got a good deal with him. I want him dropping a shoulder more and using his brain a bit when drawing fouls etc. Until Son is back I'd do what's best for the team away vs Man U & Watford by playing 3 at the back but for the Fulham game I'd start him in a 4-2-3-1 with Lloris, Aurier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Sissoko, Lucas, Eriksen, Dele & Llorente and hope that home advantage/ Wembley is enough to see us through. A bit of a gamble but it will pay dividends for the likes of Dembele's, Trippier's & Kane's fitness, all 3 of who I'd have on the bench this weekend, over the course of the season

Lucas probably just needs to build confidence, he must have been quite low after not playing for PSG, then moving here and sitting on the bench for 5 months straight. He's barely played any football in the last year

Indeed, these are the types of games last season where we dropped points, Swansea at home, West Ham at home etc. Using "home" loosely there of course.

Even so, we need to put out an attacking team IMO. Either a 4-3-3 with 2 attacking CM's, or we go 3-5-2 simply because Mitrovic can be a handful and it wouldn't be the worst thing to have 3 CB's back there but still allows us to get our FB's forward and consider playing Kane and Llorente together with good crosses into the box for both of them to feed off.

It's time we started being a bit more bold when facing lesser opposition.

Winks and Lamela back much needed with Son off. Not having 343 we struggled breaking teams down at Wembley early last season with it, need the extra attacker.

Lloris
Trippier Sanchez vertonghen davies
Lamela Dier Eriksen
Moura kane dele

Bench: vorm alderweireld rose dembele winks sissoko Llorente

I think Lamela was just a muscle injury so hopefully be ready to start. But I’ve i feeling sissoko will start.

The problem with that, mate, is Trippier at FB. He'll get slammed by our supporters because, well, he's just not the best FB.

However, as he showed at the World Cup, give him the licence to get up the pitch & utilise his, quite frankly, world class delivery.

I honestly don't see or understand why we wouldn't do all we can to ensure he is played to his strengths. We'll only benefit from it in the long run, in my opinion.

Can't see Toby starting (ever again), so doubt we'll get to see Tripps as wing back against Fulham. Still hoping he starts ahead of Aurier though as right back.

Bit extreme. If he stays beyond the European window, then there's a good chance he'll start eventually. Injuries, rotation, change of formation etc.

With our poor defensive showing on Saturday we could easily start Toby at the back. I think we needed a reason to start him seeing as he needs to earn his spot back. I just wasn't expecting it so soon but we looked poor at the back against Newcastle so a good reason to get him back in now.

If you play 3 at the back you only really need 1 central midfielder to sit in front. That frees up a spot for another creative midfielder.
