I have to pull you on that , not being fussed finishing 3rd or 4th What!

Theres a difference regardless of CL. Finishing 3rd or possibly 2nd is better than 4th.

All also-ran positions way back from 1st this year, and CL group stage entry is secured no matter what position we ultimately end up. I'm truly not bothered or interested in this last game and where we ultimately finish, I'm even in two minds whether to watch the game tbh. Bring on the World Cup.

I'm surprised by your stance tbh. I'd love for us to finish strong in control and secure our best possible position all considered.

We are currently 3rd and if we failed on the last game of the season allowing Liverpool to pip us..... Well that will ring bells again about our mentality.

From my perspective mentality questions (if you believe there is an issue, I don't necessarily) will continue to be brought up until we start winning and delivering in the real crunch biggest moments/matches. Whether a shit Man U team, a physically and mentally wrecked Spurs, or a Liverpool with more than one eye on the CL final ultimately fall into 2nd/3rd/4th place on the last day of the season isn't one of those occasions in my opinion. We're all way off the top lagging behind, and from our perspective we have CL wrapped up, I don't think it's a game-changer if we're 2nd, 3rd or 4th and I've no real interest.

Some entertainment to end the season would be nice, that's about it.

Dont we have to play a qualifying game if we finish 4th ? If so, they way we can be at the start of a season, it could be really handy to finish 3rd. We could end playing someone like Dortmund, Hoffenheim, Monaco, Valencia, Sporting Lisbon etc.

Unless everything I have read is wrong, all four places now automatically go into the group stage.

The CF choice is a real Hobson's fucker right now. I'd stick Son up front but he's just grating on me even more than Kane is lately. And that's going some.

Agreed, nerves were visible last night and it robs us of any fluidity in our play (especially against organised defences).

Hopefully a chance to enjoy the last game of the season and finish with a bit of style.

For me i'd like to see some of the younger players/fringe players involved but for me, we need to get ahead in the game before we start messing with the team. Strongest possible please.
That wasn’t nerves, that’s just how we have been playing lately!
I think Poch, especially as it is last game and at home will go with the absolute obvious choice ( out of who is fit )
So I would expect To see exactly this team ( I think Tripp’s might start it didn’t look to bad in the end. He would Be Poch’s first choice LB followed by Aurier and if they are both injured KWP.

Guessing on who will be available due to injury:

Lloris
KWP Toby Jan Davies
Eriksen Dier Rose
Moura Kane Lamela

Subs: Vorm, Sanchez, Foyth, Alli, Sissoko, Son, Llorente
May as well do something to make the last day interesting. I'm not fussed if we finish 3rd or 4th with it making no difference to when we begin our CL campaign, but even so I think this team can win the game in any case.

KWP (if fit?) to start at right back, especially with the other two injury doubts. On the left, something of an experimental set-up, and due to us probably lacking in numbers after injuries. It could also be flexible, Lamela might swap with Rose, or Rose to run the flank with Davies holding the left cm3 position... Fuck it, just would be something to observe on the last day.

If I could I'd probably leave out all three of Kane, Alli, and Son, but probably have to select at least one of them and so Kane by default, whilst freshening up the other attacking positions.
Why doesn’t make a difference to when we start CL is there not an extra qualifying round for 4th this year?

Not sure why this was marked as funny, did I say something funny? I thought 4th always had to play an extra qualification round?

I think Poch will change very little. He wants to come third. I do too!

Dier back hopefully, Dembele back hopefully. Main change i hope we see is to give Lucas Moura a start. Probably instead of Son. Love Son, he was great for a while but has not been so effective for the past six weeks or so.

I am personally fussed about finishing 3rd rather than 4th, just so we can finish ahead of media darlings Liverpool, and finish the season on a high
