Two givens for me...

1) Sanchez has to start. His pace a recovery speed at the back is absolutely necessary against a quick Liverpool front 3.

2) We need to play wide and apply pressure to their back line. We don't want to play narrow and through the middle because that plays right into their counter press. They press when a ball is played square across the midfield. A 3-4-3 will enable us to play up the wing and force mistakes on their fullbacks without the risk of playing dangerous passes across our middle.

I agree. Think we'll go with a back three. We'll still have a challenge in CM though, and Dele, Eriksen and Moura will have plenty of work to do to support one of Dier/Dembele as Liverpool can quickly transition through central midfield into attacking positions.

Both teams can hurt each other. Hope we take our chances.

A couple of seasons ago I really liked watching us play 3421 but this season when we’ve tried it, it hasn’t quite worked properly and we’ve looked a lot more controlled with 4231. What we tend to lose with 3421 is that Eriksen has been dropping deep to sit alongside Dier in central midfield rather than playing in a more advanced role like he does in the 4231 formation. I would say that’s our biggest lose in that formation. However the plus is that it allows trippier and Davies to get further forward down the wings.

You can easily create a membership for free if you want to buy tickets from the website - you will have to pay a small extra fee per ticket though.

You just need a membership number and for that you only need an email address and personal details.
