I'd give Winks this game off and start him against Palace. He's done great but he looked tired second half and been playing a lot. Dembele needs game time and he'd be right choice for this game in my opinion.

Dier and Dembele in midfield together?!

Against Real Madrid.

Total bantz....
Even if you disagree with it, not sure it’s that mock worthy to suggest we play our most tried and tested midfield (given the lack of Wanyama) against such difficult opposition. It’s not exactly Sigurdsson and Chadli.

Granted but ludicrous to drop Winks in the circumstances - especially for what is an inherently immobile central midfield duo against (likely) Messrs Modric, Kroos and Casemiro.

Is kane back? If so:
Lloris
Alderweireld Sanchez Vertonghen
Aurier dier rose/davies
Sissoko dembele
Eriksen
Kane
3-3-2-1-1 formation but really dembele and sissoko will be next to the wing backs as madrid will undoubtedly control possession

I'd be tempted to leave Kane out. Our CL progression won't rest on this game, and we need to make sure he 100% especially coming up to Christmas..

Bet he'll do anything to play but I agree on leaving him out. Actually think he's vital to the Palace game which will most likely be another ultra defensive minded opponent

100% leave him out if there's any risk in concern with his injury. Like you say with the Christmas period around the corner, the NLD coming soon etc. we need him fit. This game isn't do or die either.

Even though I'd like him to be present for the game, as I'll be attending, (OK a bit of egoism) I tend to agree to play safe and leave him out. Prefer having him v Palace and much more v ascum!

And the more crucial Dortmund game, a point there will put us through

I’d have Kane on the bench for this one. Goes without saying if there’s any hesitation about whether he can play then he shouldn’t even be on the bench.
