I think everyone who starts for us against United are already on the squad. We may sign one or two players before then, but I don't think they will be integrated enough to start the opener.

Lloris - I think its a minor injury and he will be ready for the season opener.
Trippier/Walker - could go either way here, no idea of Walker's fitness
Alli/Mason - I think Mason is ahead of Alli, and if he is fit would start, but Mason is still rehabbing, and Alli is getting good reviews from training.
Lamela - this might be close - not sure when he is due back, but I think if he comes back next week, he still starts ahead of Townsend
Kane - he could come back on August 7 and still start...

cant resist, still a big kid at heart. your team but lukaku for lamela. whats life without a dream or a hope. theres something lighly depressing about your line up, even if you probably spot on.

I am not really sure how anyone could have a clue yet, soemany variables between now and the beginning of the season.

I'll wait till a few pre-season games have passed before I decide.

P.S. I'm tipping Wimmer to start in front of Vertonghen because I'm a hipster like that.

With Bentaleb as the only DM, that team will get run over like a train.

We'll be lining up a goalie, that's a given.
I'd be surprised if we started without any defenders – I'll go for 4 of those, of which 1 is a new signing.
In the midfield we'll line up two kiddos at CM and probably 3 AMs. I'd be surprised if one of those are not Danish.
Lastly there will be a striker who's English is a bit on the mumbling side.

Right at this moment, with the team united are building and with the players we currently have, playing them away first game, I'd start that lot. I think we'll need to be very solid through the middle yet still pose significant danger in the final third.

Also want bentaleb to be able to roam forward and get shots away and join in attacks.

Will no doubt adjust this when our next buy arrives. So no freaking out at alli at 10 you mupps.

Part of me wants to put up a guess line-up including potential signings, but I did that last year, and I think I jinxed it as it included Musacchio, Schneiderlin and Remy/Welbeck...

I do disagree with you there, I think it's down to both of them to displace the other so to speak. "Survival of the" and all of that. Poch doesn't come across as the type who operates on a seniority basis. Apart from Pochettino's approach in general, I think Trippier specifically is bought with the belief that he can be 1st choice, not as a squad option.

Aslong as Walker don't start we have a small chance. That was probably one of the worse performances last season at old Trafford by a Spurs player In years. Walker was abysmal and his performances haven't been much better before his injury either
