He did well when he had options to lay it off to. Our frontline and backline completely split against Spam so it was never really going to work
We could just pass it up to Llorente and have Son run past him and get Llorente to flick it to him like in the game that I don't want to mention.

This ought to rustle up a classic thinktank formation

Place your bets, I'm going for Vorm false 9 with Foyth and Dele behind

if anything this means the utd fans will demand they come at us now, could play into our hands slightly with the pace we have on the break.

Like that team but want dembele in there somewhere

I think our way to beat United is to try and be very quick with our passing, which is why I definitely want to see Winks in there.

If Dembele is properly fit I wouldn't mind him coming in instead of Dier, but I think Winks should be the first name down in that midfield.

I agree. He should take Diers place

Cant understand anyone who want dele in for dembele in midfield. Most over-rated player we have imo.

Think he was a passenger for 46 min in first half vs liverpool- before his goal. Upped his game 2 half.

But again vs west ham in midfield, just not his position.

No brainer for me. Dembele is on another level. Son and eriksen should start with Kane up front.

Lloris

Toby, sanchez, verts

Aurier, winks, dembele, davies

Eriksen, kane, son
My concern is that Dembele is not ready for this one.

Okay clutching straws here but;

Hypothetically what’s the rule (if any) of a Manager saying in his press conference a player is not available, then miraculously he is on game day??? Unsportsmanship??
Mind games?? I’m sure it’s happened to us before? Usually arsenal??

Nah, more chance Mourinho does that and suddenly Pogba rocks up in their starting line-up.

It's a blow all right. We feel much more certain of scoring when he's on.

However, mourinho will have be preparing this game for Kane. Drilling his defenders on what to do, so this could throw his game plan.

True but we suffered a slump after that. No coincidence that our worst period of form last season was during Kane's autumn injury.

Having said that he was also injured later in the season and we coped without him then.
I think we were missing Toby also during that slump, which was as big or bigger issue for me.

I bet you £50 (donation) before the season is out we see Foyth or Toby at DM.

With Kane out Vs Manu and Real, being dumped out of the league cup is looking like the the least of our worries.

Do you think Jose gives a toss about what the supporters 'demand'? He knows that we struggle against teams that park the bus; if he doen't then he is incompetent
