Davies should get a game, it's a long season and we need to save Danny's legs for the big games.

I think Sissoko could play right back, Liverpool converted Milner into a full-back. He has similar attributes to Sissoko.

Hugo

Aurier, Sanch, Jan, Davies

Winks, nD
Eriksen,

Lamela, Son
Kane

in truth, what will matter is progressive passing and of the ball movement- and a first half goal
otherwise it will be attritional yet again

Poch, the CBs and Winks are all guilty of this time wasting sht at the back that hurts noone but us

Probably what I would go with, but think Winks will be redundant and we’ll bring on Lo Celso at 55 min or so. Newcastle are shit, let’s try to put 5 past them.

Sod it, let's start Lo Celso instead of Eriksen against these bus-parkers and see what he can do.

Would also like to see Lucas and Sonny playing and causing their full-backs all sorts of problems, which unfortunately means dropping Lamela as he's been pretty good in the last 2 games. But these are the tough choices that need to be made!

Think we need to play a proper defensive midfielder in there, way too much space between the lines at the moment. Someone who sits back will help the other midfielders push on and create. Is Dier fit enough to start? Probably not but it would be a decent match to throw him into given the following one.

Lloris
KWP Toby Jan Rose
Ndombele Dier Eriksen
Lucas Kane Son

Lo Celso and Lamela on the bench. Bring Jan back for a runout given the next match is arsenal away, and we need to re-integrate him before then.

That looks fairly balanced to me

Incidentally, has anyone got any tactical analysis on Newcastle?

What's their style of play (cue incoming sarcastic answers )?

This but with Alli for Lo Celso

Usually (although it may not be for every case), when a player returns from injury, Poch would place him on the bench for his first game back.

As Alli hasn’t even been on the bench yet, even if he is available for this match, I’d expect him to be on the bench, at best. Although he may come on at some point during the match.

I would love to see us starting with this XI :

Lloris
Walker-Peters, Toby, Jan, Rose
Lo Celso,Ndombele
Moura, Eriksen, Son
Kane

Lo Celso can certainly play the deep lying CM/playmaker. He can tackle & make defensive contributions. Best to try this against Newcastle at home

You are both right, probably too soon for him which is a shame.
