Janssen? Jesus fucking christ. He’s around the team solely because of injuries. Played 10’ while we were desperate and now SC wants to start him? Short memories. But he has proven time and again he’s got nothing for us. I like the bloke but just no.

Lloris
Sanchez Alderweireld Vertonghen
KWP Dier Dele Davies
Lucas Son Eriksen

Gazzaniga, Foyth, Rose, KWP, Wanyama, Skipp, Llorente
You tag is very app with comments like that lol.

I think Poch will rest the full backs and Wanyama for this one, possibly even Llorente. Might go 3 at the back just due to the amount of fit players.

Lloris
Foyth Sanchez Verts/Toby

KWP Dier Skipp Davies

Dele/Eriksen

Moura Son

I think if Lamela is fit he plays, and we probably swap to a 4-2-3-1. I suspect Winks would be saved for Ajax even if fit.

If I had my way I'd probably go for the same as last night with Dier, KWP/Foyth and Davies in for Wanyama, Rose and Tripps.

I think playing VJ is more out of necessity, Hank. Ravaged by injuries, we have to turn to him and with him being ineligible to play in the CL, making use of him so that one of our strikers can get a bit of rest makes sense. Not that I'd necessarily go down that route myself, I just consider it understandable.
I said hes around the team solely due to injuries. But starting him makes zero sense and honestly, giving him a bench spot makes zero sense as well. He has nothing for this team. At least give the first team opportunity to an academy player who may have a future here, unlike him.

Lloris
Sanchez - Toby - Davies
Trippier - Dier - Eriksen - Vertonghen
Alli
Llorente - Son

Subs: Gaz, Foyth, Rose, Wanyama, Lamela, Lucas, Janssen

Not a huge advocate of Vertonghen at LWB despite his Dortmund performance, however I think he would have a lot of joy against either Zabaleta or Fredericks. Plus, he can deliver a decent ball. West Ham don't have the "hero" defenders that Brighton do, so I think we could get a bit of joy from crosses.

Yeah, I suppose. Although we've not seen him in nearly two years. Who knows, maybe he's a different player....?

The thought of losing to Wham, even with a weakened team, is unbearable.

Very true but we will have a bit of wiggle room if results go our way again which means we wont be disadvantaged v ajax

The cm is the biggest problem. The rest of the team picks itself give or take.

As much as I think Dele could be a brilliant CM at some point, he is far more effective in and around the box. Eriksen is really the only one capable of transitioning play a bit quicker. Additionally, I think thinktank was always right about Foyth, he can pass forwards for a start, in the current set up its missing. Assuming winks is unfit? So:-

Lloris

Trippier Toby Jan Davies

Foyth Eriksen Wanyama

Dele Moura

Son

If Lamela is fit (I think he was supposed to have a late test yesturday), I want him on the pitch, Dier too. We need a couple of enforcers who aren't afraid to give back some of the West Ham shit baggery because you can guarantee they will be going in extra hard on our players who may understandibly have an eye on Ajax.

Would rather face Ajax on the back of a win on Saturday, none of this resting the players for Tuesday stuff. We're home to West Ham and I would hope that the players would aim for quick start, score a couple goals in the 1st half and then control the tempo in the 2nd.
