Dembele Winks

Kane Son

Subs: Vorm, Aurier, Foyth, Rose, Sissoko, Dele, Llorente

Yeah this for me, no way on Earth Ian Dele ever getting dropped though. It’ll probably be that line up with Dele in for Lamela.

Son needs to start- we need his pace, liveliness and finishing. I'd drop Alli for Lamela, to see how Alli reacts to that. He needs to experience the reality of being in poor form

I agree we need to try something new against these teams and I don’t think we need 5 at the back with wing backs, especially as they don’t ever seem to get down to the byline and get crosses in anymore anyway. I would try either the team above, with Lamela or go 442 and try Llorente with Kane. Either way Alli gets benched, sorry mate not trying hard enough to make the squad. Son should definitely be on the field as should Winks. If you have that in mind a lot of the others sort themselves out! We must start very fast and score first!

Would imagine Lamela won’t start against Stoke but might against Brighton on Wednesday. Beyond that it’s purely about balancing fitness. I would also think about dropping Alli.

TBH, I doubt he’ll start against Brighton. A year is a long time to be out.

I reckon his first start will be Wimbledon on 6th Jan. hope I’m wrong, though.
