Why would you play both deeper when they are more effective scoring goals and assisting?

They just have to play 10 yards deeper to help out in central midfield, hardly game changing in terms of providing in attack.

Really hope we go for the throat, there is no better time to play them at the minute.

Unfortunately I see another Mourinho grinding out a 1-0 - after we dominate them for the majority of the match.

This is precisely how it will go.

All the negative reports in the media regarding Mourinho and Pogba could be in our favour. Brighton did a fine job against them and we're better defensively organized than Brighton so maybe a cheeky 1-0?

Spurs need to get off the bus when the get up here (I live between Liverpool and Manchester). They always seem scared to play at OT and Anfield. The Mancs move up a gear against us usually.

Surely winks over Sissoko on the bench? Or could have both and remove one of the fullbacks, especially as Dave is there and Sissoko can fill in anywhere

My guess is we will play 3 at the back at OT. I don't think it was random that we played a back three on Saturday. It was a practice of sorts to get Toby, Jan and Dav playing together again. The option was always there to revert to two CBs if and when during the 2nd half.

So, with that in mind, I think it'll most likely be:

Lloris

Toby - Dav - Jan

Tripps - Eriksen - Dier - Dembele - Davies

Dele

Harry

Utd will likely play a 433. So, we will match them in midfield with that 3511 formation, versus another one we use: 3421.

If this is the formation we go with I'm expecting a rather dull affair.

I have come to the conclusion that my life at the moment is so fucking sad that I am just wishing this week away as I cannot wait for this damn match.

I'm wishing 11 months away so I can retire a poor man, but no debts:ROFLMAO:

Starting with
Lloris
Trippier, Aldeweireld, Vertonghen, Davies
Dier, Dembele
Moura, Eriksen, Alli
Kane
We then have the flexibility to move between formations based on the flow to the game

Lloris
Dier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen
Trippier, Eriksen, Dembele, Davies
Moura, Alli
Kane

Lloris
Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies
Eriksen, Dier, Dembele
Moura, Kane, Alli
However, I think Dembele may be marginalised to a finishers role for the time being, and I can't see Sanchez being parked just yet.

Big match! Chris Hughton really laid down a marker last weekend. Could be a serious backlash from UTD but hopefully Spurs can withstand the initial pressure & then play their way into the game. Heaven help us if Utd score first!
I'd go with Poch's 'traditional' 4-2-3-1
Lloris
Trippier Toby Jan Davies
Dier Dembele
Moura Eriksen Dele
Kane
Subs: Vorm Davinson Winks Lamela Aurier Llorente Sissoko
COYS!!!!!!!!!!!!
