WestBrom need to win. Play our full backs with more pace and son and Lucas for the same reason.

Sissoko has pace also.... But just don't trust him in the team! That miss and some of his decision making is so poor at times.

Son has to be dropped surely? His form has been quite disappointing for several weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if Poch persists with him but personally I'd select Lucas Moura or Lamela instead for this game.

I see a few are putting Toby in. I don't see him playing again for us barring injury personally.

We all know it'll be the same side in the same system bar potentially Aurier rotating with Trippier - particularly if he's still feeling the effect on his ankle and head.

What i'd like to see is some progressive tactics employed and tells us that Poch has recognised the flaws in deploying Dier and Dembele together alongside Son who's well off the boil and utilises a system whereby it'll be Eriksen as the main conduit in our attacks - not Dier spraying balls left right and centre from deep.

Wait a minute. It ain't a crime playing our tactics because let's get things right here our tactics are actually impressive when all are fit even under cooked it's very flexible..we could potentially finish 3rd so please don't make it sound like we are boring because we're far from that.

How many teams change their tactical play more than Pochettinho anyway....Liverpool look good on the eye but really they play long ball to Salah and Mane.

I expect Son to carry on until the end of the season. Poch has said Moura is a player for next season so I expect his plan is to put him throug a proper pre-season.

Yep his fitness levels and tactical proficiency probably aren't up to Poch's standards yet. Still, Son has been sub-par for some time. Can Lamela do any worse? He has his limitations too, mind. No easy solutions.

I'd be tempted to drop Son because I think he's been very ineffective recently but every time he gets to the stage where he's about to be dropped, he scores a brace and shuts everyone up :banghead:

Just to add to that: I think our attacking options are looking worse than usual partly because our central midfield has basically disintegrated in recent weeks. The Dier/Dembele partnership looks particularly weak now. I've no doubt that with better CM options our forwards would play better.

haha true. I was just gonna say he'll probably score after I've said he should be dropped.

drop Son and give Lucas a start. I suspect Dembele will get a rest.
Surely the match to "rest" players will be Newcastle.

I would like to see Lucas get the start. But, I can't see Poch pushing Dembele to play Thursday-Sunday to close out the season, so I figure Dembele plays on the weekend, and rests on Thursday.

he made it thru 63 minutes yesterday, and was poor while on. I think Dier/Dembele is our best midfield combo at the moment but not if they play like yesterday.
