Since Slaven seemingly has the tactical knowhow of a headless chicken right up until he plays Spurs when he becomes a savant I am always worried about this match. West Ham are a lame duck team coming off a big win this week, they'll be absolutely convinced they're the shit and I sincerely hope we prove them wrong... because if we don't holy mother of god will next Monday suck. First match on a Saturday, don't ruin my weekend!

Lloris
Toby - Sanchez - Jan
Aurier Davies
Dier - Dembele
Eriksen Dele
Kane

Subs: Vorm, Son, Llorente, Trippier, Winks, Sissoko, Foyth

This is the right team no doubt. Only concerns are the injuries Davies, Dembele, Trippier and Winks seem to be carrying/ playing with....by the way, that is a decent bench. Switch Sissoko and Barkley this Jan and it would be even better!!!

Probably our best 18 until Lamela, Wanyama and Rose get back.

For the reasons you stated probably means yet another defeat as the players are never up for this one, however I'm going for a draw as seems most likely and what we do best.

A win here would be huge. We currently have a deficit of 5 v last season's equivalent fixtures, this could reduce it to just 2 and put us back on track.

Ok with this line up. From the matches I have seen Poch is playing Sanchez in the middle. I note no Trippier on bench but he will be either on bench or playing. Poch is loyal. I know Alli scored but he was awful and greedy last night. He has gone off the boil. Needs taking down a peg or two. I was surprised Dembele played last night. Hopefully he will be fit. Will Davies be fit?

Anybody know when Wanyama will return?

Foyth was a breath of fresh air and last night showed our £30m waste of space how to attack through the midfield. Deserves a place on the bench

Finally No Sissko.

Huddersfield had over 50% of the ball against them.Id imagine we will have 70%,will be all about breaking them down.Dele and Son will be more use than a one paced dembele. Our back 3 and dier can handle anything they have offensively. My only worry would be Antonio, but Sanchez should be able to mop up any of his runs.Collins is out for them ,who has been their best defender. And Noble should be back ,which I'd say is good news for us.All about an early goal,if we score in first 25 mins should be easy win.Otherwise be much like last 2 games.

Although Dele is off the boil, I'd start him here as he's liable to get their fans riled and one of their players to do something stupid and get sent off

Lloris

Toby Sanchez Jan

Aurier Dier Davies

Son Eriksen Dele

Kane

Depends on Dembele's fitness, if he can play then he must play most likely instead of Son

Subs : Vorm, Trippier, Foyth, Winks, Dembele(Son), N'Koudou, Llorente

I'd go with this but swap son and dele. Ali is more robust in midfield and son is on form to provide a goal threat behind the striker.

Is carroll back fit for them?

If he is I dont think I would start sanchez as he's something sanchez would never have seen before in his life.

If all fit I would go (and no carroll)

Lloris

Aurier Alderweirld Sanchez Veronghen Davies

DIer Dembele Eriksen

Son Kane

Would even be tempted to start Winks in the middle for his energy against west ham he would also know what a derby means to us lot as we were shocking there last season.

How are they likely to line up?

Another idea could be

Lloris

Aurier Alderwerield Sanchez Vertonghen Davies

Sissoko Dembele Dier

Eriksen

Kane

Just go to beast them in the middle.

Think Alli should have a rest.

Big game on Tuesday that Poch probably sees as more important. No chance Dembele will start v West Ham but will against Apoel. I'd start Son instead of Sissoko but think Poch might save him for Tuesday too. I'd also start Winks but doubt that'll happen.
