On the basis of tonight, Paulinho, Lennon and Adebayor put in nowhere near enough effort to be considered for Sunday.

I like that a lot actually, just don't think Sandro or Dembele will be fit

Lloris
Naughton - Dawson - Kaboul - Rose
Lennon - Bentaleb - Dembele - Eriksen
Soldado - Adebayor.

The Spurs way. Naive and with plenty of possibilities.

Walker and Sandro are both out.

Typical of our luck, the game where we need Sandro the most...

With Capoue also out, we have no one to break up play, and if we go with only 2 of Dembele, Paulinho (who was utter shit last night) and Bentaleb, then the scum will cut right through us. Kaboul looked shaky last night, and I'm not convinced he can play 2 games with so little time between them, but given that he's ready, I'd go with:

Lloris
Naughton (sigh) - Kaboul - Verts - Rose (sigh as well)

Dembele - Eriksen - Bentaleb

Towns (anyone but Lennon) - Chadli

Ade (until knackered, then Soldado on)

Sadly it would have been better if we had been knocked out by dnipro, because we would then have had a full week to prepare for the nld and wouldnt have picked up even more injuries to an already depleted squad as well as avoided another confidence sapping defeat at home.

Beating the arse would have provided a bright spot in a depressing season and maybe, just maybe, given us some impetus for the run in seeing as we would then be only 3 points behind them. The annoying thing is they have a few injuries and we would have had a chance without the europa distraction. I'm not writing off our hopes but it isnt looking promising with our injuries and increasingly fragile confidence (not helped by TS's constant player criticism).

As for the team, I just hope Eriksen is played centrally where he can effect the play more, I'm sick of our managers sticking our best creative players on the wing or on the bench. Its a joke that players like kane/lennon/paulinho/dembele have spent more time in the no 10 position than Eriksen!
