The same Aurier who lost his marker and by his own admission "conceded the (winning) goal?"

What are you talking about, Aurier was marking Icardi, it was Lucas who ran out and left Vecino open.

Did you even watch the match?

Gazzaniga
Aurier Sanchez Vertonghen KWP
Wanyama Eriksen
Lamela Son Lucas
Llorente

Vorm played decent yesterday but give Gazzaniga a chance. Both Davies and Rose have been shit this season. Aurier gives us some much needed athleticism. Midfield needs refreshing. And what is the fucking point of taking Llorente if we don't ever give him a chance. At worst he'll help us defend set plays.

Must be a whole load of people on here who've been watching Gazzaniga in training every day.

Fucking hate responses like this, people are posting regarding what they want to see, you don’t need to put down their opinions so passively aggressively. Maybe people have lost confidence in both our regular left backs, or have wwwn enough KWP beyond one outing at Newport to think he’d do well there. Maybe people are fed up with Vorm’s error proneness and remember how good Gazzaniga looked in his one appearance. Those people could be off their rocker, but they’re entitled to their opinion, same as you are.

We need to start winning the physical battles again and play with higher intensity with and without the ball. We look mentally jaded as much as physically so. I'd bring Wanyama into the side for some added physicality. The danger is that he and Dier will compound our problems in possession, but he also has the ability to keep things simple and just get it to the full backs or front 4. As tempting as it is to drop/rest Kane, chances should arrive in the upcoming run of matches and it would be better all round if he was on the pitch taking them.

We have three winnable games before the next break - "must wins" at this point - and we'll be in the shit if we're arrogant, complacent and in 2nd gear.

Or, we've just seen all of the goals we've conceded from set pieces since Vorm has been in goal and have come to the conclusion Gazza can't do any worse considering Vorm's lack of authority and ability to command an area!

Vorm has had a chance and we have lost all three games so time for Gazza, Vorm makes me nervous as fuck and probably the team.

Gazza

Aurier Sanchez Verts Rose

Eriksen Wanyama Dele

Son Kane Moura

Its Brighton , lets attack the fuckers they won't cope.

Your team is similar to mine. Citeh play with only one DM and the rest of the players are attacking nature. Can’t see why Poch doesn’t try the same.

Vorm
Aurier Sanchez Vertonghen KWP
Wanyama Eriksen
Lucas Alli Lamela
Son

Gazzaniga
Alderweireld
Rose
Trippier
Dembele
Winks
Llorente

I don’t want us to use KWP as a LB but I don’t know if we have any choice now, Aurier played well yesterday so keep him in the team.
Play Eriksen, Alli, Lucas, Lamela and Son all together, be aggressive and play quick football

Have you put Toby and Verts on wrong sides to stop Toby and Tripps from getting into zee fisty cuffs?

Also Lamela isn’t suited to left but could swap with a Eriksen who can play either side.

No. Total unforced error (so spurs, right now). Should be switched to usual positions, but can't be arsed to do another pic, so just imagine.

I'd keep lamela where I put him as he drifts inside anyway and Moura would drift up into the space when appropriate.

Fuck me, someone needs to put a rocket up these players. No leadership, no urgency, it doesn't even look like they are being bollocked for the ridiculous number of unforced errors. I've never seen the team play this badly for this long a period under Poch. I'm genuinely worried that something is seriously wrong behind the scenes.

A number of them are tired, yes, I get that. Get others in for the freshness, experience, match fitness, etc. A number of the non-WC players are looking so much better at the moment - Moura, Lamela, Aurier (dare I say it). This is a perfect time to replace Dier and Kane (at least) with some bench/young players, who will no do worse, and will increase their confidence levels significantly just to be playing in the PL (regardless of the result).

It was times like these that players like Ledley came in and shone. Give them a chance and rest the tired ones (as there is no benefit to keep them playing).
