A midfield of Dier and Winks is going to get eaten for breakfast against Brighton. Winks and Dembele will be terrible too.

All the options are so slow. We need Wanyama back, and then I'd play Dembele alongside him.

Does anyone seriously think a midfield of Dier and Winks versus Brighton will get us 3 points?

Have you put Toby and Verts on wrong sides to stop Toby and Tripps from getting into zee fisty cuffs?

Also Lamela isn’t suited to left but could swap with a Eriksen who can play either side.

No. Total unforced error (so spurs, right now). Should be switched to usual positions, but can't be arsed to do another pic, so just imagine.

I'd keep lamela where I put him as he drifts inside anyway and Moura would drift up into the space when appropriate.

We need to start winning the physical battles again and play with higher intensity with and without the ball. We look mentally jaded as much as physically so. I'd bring Wanyama into the side for some added physicality. The danger is that he and Dier will compound our problems in possession, but he also has the ability to keep things simple and just get it to the full backs or front 4. As tempting as it is to drop/rest Kane, chances should arrive in the upcoming run of matches and it would be better all round if he was on the pitch taking them.

We have three winnable games before the next break - "must wins" at this point - and we'll be in the shit if we're arrogant, complacent and in 2nd gear.

Sorry, but Dier has been an absolute liability lately. No way he should play. That said, Poch will start him for sure.

Vorm*
Aurier Sanchez Vertonghen Rose
Wanyama Eriksen
Lamela Dele* Lucas
Son

Gazzaniga, Davies, KWP, Dier, Amos, Dembele, Kane/Llorente

Lloris in for Vorm if fit. Amos in for Dele and next to Wanyama if Dele is not fit and Winks on the bench.

when they said lloris was injured they also mentioned for up to 7 weeks (or in real life March if you remember the reports about Lamela). Also thought Dele was out for 4 weeks

Gazzaniga - Brighton do have good height for set pieces, and on their day can be a little like Watford "bullies". also good chance v Watford he will be used, so would be good to give him some game time.

Aurier - think he deserves a run, but pending on what really happened will be Trips as he rotates his RB/WB's
Toby - yet again pending what really happened
Sanchez - on the left side he did well there for Columbia, and will give Jan a week off
Rose - but only because of rotation and no confidence in Davies, though that confidence with Rose is short at the mo

Wanyama & Winks - both need to start getting minutes under their belt. very much doubt Poch will play Dembele 3 times in a week, and at the moment like others, don't want to see Dier there. think I'd only use him as a CB in 3 at the back if there was injury concerns.

Lamela - just for his work rate and passion
Eriksen - the 1 that played v Inter (though would prefer the 1 from last season)
Moura - we will need his guile and energy

Llorente - the thing is both Kane and Son had a long season, followed by the WC. yes Son only lasted the group at the WC, but has just got back from a tiring Asia Games Llorente might not be that mobile, but at the moment neither is Kane, with Llorente he would be a good out ball to knock back to Eriksen or flick on for Lamela and Moura, plus it we be handy to stretch his legs before we play Watford. bring Son on for the last 25 mins

Im gonna be honest - desperate times calls for desperate measures - fuck midfield.

Id have Vorm if Lloris aint fit. Id have Verts, Toby and Sanchez at the back

Id have Rose and Aurier as Left and right wingers. Id then have a front five of Eriksen, Lamela, Son, Kane and Lucas all roaming and causing havoc.

I dont care if it ends up 8-7 to us - need to win

Like i said maybe ,probably

But i heard ''rumours'' that Walker generally had too much lip on all matters and would question Poch in the dressing room after defeats and to the other players behind Poch back and they fell out then, before any City interest.... .After he got wind of the offer from City, Walker started giving it even larger to the other players and Poch with a flash attitude.Walkers agent may have alerted City that all was not well with Poch and him?

Poch didn't like his attitude and told Levy to sell...Poch made little attempt to keep him....Like i said this was a rumour from a mate of mine who;s son works for Spurs., but the way he totally dropped him suggests alot.

Walker said it in an interview on Talksport before the WC

No need to apologise. He's been poor, although some of his work is unnoticed and he puts his body on the line in ways some of his teammates should. But he's a Poch fave, probably because he follows tactical instruction well, even if he seems out of his depth in recent games.

Since I think he's gonna play, I'd like to see him and another midfielder just bully the midfield area and get the ball wide or forward faster. And help shore up our set piece disasters.

No fucking chance should Kane, Dier, Davies or Dembele play in this game.

I agree but I suspect they will all play a part. The only one that might not is Davies.

I bet we go to 3 at the back again which will be a mistake against brighton’s single striker in Murray.

He fell out with Walker,.

Walker is the best RB in the prem, he didn't play for reasons only Poch and Walker really know.

Trippier the odd game? .....wow how he has fallen in some peoples eyes....not me btw,
RE: Walker - That's what I'm saying, no?

He was barely ever rotated and we were much better/dynamic because of it. Which is why Aurier needs a run of games. Championship winners aren't built on continually rotating defences, which is why someone needs to revert to a more secondary role and it should be Trip IMO. Obviously as a coach you wouldn't say that, but I believe Aurier can reach a level close to that of Walker whereas I don't believe Trip ever will.
