Im changing my team a bit. The stretch of Chelsea, Arsenal and Dortmund should be focused on. So i’d go with a 433 here and give a player or 2 some extra rest.

Lloris
KWP Toby Sanchez Vertonghen
Skipp Dier Sissoko
Lamela Llorente Son

Gazzaniga, Rose, Aurier, Winks, Lucas, Eriksen, Kane

The 5 games in 2 weeks stretch coming up could be a lot for Danny and we need him fit and firing for Arsenal, Chelsea and BVB. Skipp in for Eriksen and Lamela in for Lucas. Lamela has the ability to pick the lock on the ground. Verts and KWP can cross it into Llorente as they seem to be a bit weaker in the air. Should still have enough to win and saves Rose, Eriksen, and Winks for Chelsea, Arsenal and BVB. Kane to come on for Sonny if we’re winning around the 70th minute.

I understand we have 3 weeks off between Saints and Liverpool, but there’s an int’l break in there. So it’s important to keep some guys well rested and fit for the last 6 weeks of the season.

even if fit Rose wouldn't play all 3 matches. Poch rotates every game unless he has no cover, especially if there is 2 games a week

Arguably it might be worth putting Davies in vs Burnley and resting one of the CB's. We have already seen the affects of overstretching the squad in our defeat vs Arsenal earlier in the season. We need to take advantage of the depth we have.

In no way, shape, or form should Davies play against Chelsea, Arsenal or BVB.

weird thing is, unlike Trippier I can't think of a game that Davies has cost us this season. he was also our regular LB/LWB when Rose was injured in a season we conceded the least amount of goals.

due to his injury Poch might decide to use him as CB and Jan as a wing back, even though apparently Jan doesn't like that role (Dortmund might of changed his mind lol)

With the team news:

Lloris
Aurier Alderweireld Sanchez Vertonghen
Winks
Sissoko Eriksen
Lamela
Son Llorente

Gazzaniga Davies Dier Wanyama Skipp Lucas Kane
No point having Trippier or Foyth on the bench with Dier there, but if Dier is still our then either of them will do. Likewise, no point risking Rose with Vertonghen doing so well and Davies available.

I’m pushing the ‘Trippier’s not having a great season, Aurier’s never had a real run in the side, let’s see what if he can build up some form’ thing.
Aurier has caused no game losing goals this season and has the same number of goals + assists as Trippier (5 total each) in 12 less appearances.

Hmm That's not the narrative that gets painted on here. ?

Now that Kane is available again, he will start. Poch will resist the temptation to leave him on the bench once he's ready to play again. Kane will want to play and rearing to go. We also need to get him up to match sharpness as quick as possible for the final stretch of the season. He is such an important part of our strength and dynamics.

If I’m not mistaken, Kane has come off the bench when returning from most of his injuries?

Can't confirm or deny that, but he's had a full weeks training and should start.
He's a bigger need for Chelsea and Arsenal imo. 2 x 90 min games in quick succession after a time out will be tough. I'd rather 30 vs Burnley, and then on bench again vs Dortmund.

If he starts then he'll play 90 tomorrow, how often have we put games to bed early this season.
