Last night took so much out of us I’d be more than happy with a point. Think city will win comfortably tbh

What's to say last night didn't also take so much out of City, though?

Losing like that must be a heck of an emotional, mental and psychological drain, not to mention the physical effort put in, too.

They really could need some serious picking up after what unfolded last night.

1 - Can we afford to lose this one and still make top four?
2 - Can we afford to play anyone who's not 100% fit and possibly lose them for the rest of the season?
I think, 1, yes and 2, no.

Could go either way. As knackered and crocked as we are, city could be very deflated too, wouldn’t be surprised if we got something.

Would rest anyone with a knock, can’t believe Wanyama can play again?

At the end of the day, we can lose Saturday and still get top 4.

Free pass with this one, fully expecting an absolute tonking, just elated weve made it through to the semis.

Although a couple of City fans in work were saying the atmosphere will be dead after last night and we'll be on a high, good points I suppose...

Really want City to win the league though so its a tough one lol

Loving the title of this thread lol.

In terms of team selection it's a toughie as we really are walking wounded at the moment!

We could rotate full backs as Poch tends to do so guess Aurier and Davies will start (I'd guess Poch wouldn't risk KWP and maybe better if he's given opportunities it's against easier opposition) and we also have Sanchez as an option (although may as well thrash Alderweireld to within his life as not really our problem if he's fit next season or not :playful:).

And in the engine room I'll be very concerned if Winks and Sissoko are not available as Wanyama still not completely right. Not sure when Dier back either.

Don't think Poch does a 'free hit' games?

Undecided!
Go for it or concentrate on Brighton?

I hate to think this but we are in for a hiding. I think we've used up all our good luck on this fixture for the season last night.

But then, miracles can happen so lets get the srongest 11 out there who are able to run, walk or crawl and give it a damn good go!

Its a free hit but all pressure on them, we could be dangerous opposition, again, for them.

Pressure off us completely

My XI :

Lloris
Foyth, Toby, Sanchez, Jan, Davies
Skipp, Eriksen
Son,Lucas,Dele

I would give a rest to Wanyama & Rose to bench. Throw in Skipp at deep end and see how he copes. From what I have seen of him, till now occasion & opposition wont face him. He will make mistakes but he is more likely to be disciplined in CM than trying likes of Rose. And Foyth in the RB. He cant do much worse than Trippier.

I see this game almost a free hit game

Is there any chance Winks might be ready for this one?
Oh and when is Dier back? Seems like he's been unavailable all season (give or take a couple of games).

We're having our pants pulled down in this one no matter what team we field, may as well rest a couple...

Lloris
KWP Foyth Sanchez Vertonghen Davies
Wanyama Skipp
Moura Eriksen
Son

Subs: Gazza, Toby, Trippier, Rose, Llorente, Janssen/Youngster, Winks/Lamela/anyone with two working legs.

Really tough to guess. We don't know who's unavailable and/or shattered from last night. There's an argument to rest and treat it as a free hit, cant see Poch doing that though.

I think you can make reasonable assumptions, Davies will probably come in but Trippier plays again with KWP playing midweek. With the state of the midfield we probably play with an extra centre back. We saw for the large part it's not a game for Llorente chasing shadows, until the latter stages when you need a goal, so save him for the Brighton game too.

Probably be something like:

Lloris

Trippier
Alderweireld
Sanchez
Vertonghen
Davies

Eriksen
Wanyama
Alli

Moura
Son

Subs: Gazza, KWP, Foyth, Rose, Skipp, Llorente, +1

Bonus if anyone else is back fit and in contention, and then refresh again in three/four positions for the Brighton game.
