I don't know about others but the most annoying thought I have of Liverpool winning the league (or champions league) is we've had the better of them quite a few years finishing above them but never took that final step/ri$k, Liverpool did last year and if they reap the rewards it just says even more to me what could have been... Other than that I couldn't really give a crap who wins league out of them two.

I would be tempted to rest players and accept we are unlikely to get anything from this game, but on the other hand City will be bang up for revenge and could do some serious damage to our goal difference which could prove very important for the top 4. Tough call for Pochettino

Changes/resting is obviously extremely understandable, and probably extremely needed.

I just hope that we don't go & blow the very marginal +4 goal cushion we currently have over our nomadic neighbours.

I don't expect it at all but I think Davies could do a job as a DM. He's technically sound, reads the game well, and is strong in the tackle. I've been a bit confused as to why Rose has been preferred as the last-ditch DM option, he gives the ball away far too easily and puts us under pressure more than Davies would do IMO.

Regardless we're going to have to get a bit creative with the formation with it likely to be the case that every single CM at the club is unavailable.

Yeah I'm not too bothered about the team for this one. We clearly need to make changes but have so little in reserve that I don't think many will be surprised to see a few surprise inclusions. We won the one I wanted us to win anyway :D

I wouldn't mind seeing a Dortmund away type setup though, at least when Poch changed it part way through. A back 5 with a 4 in front and the wide men in midfield able to help out the fullbacks and double up easily. If the scoreline is positive, we can always bring on a couple of the players that normally would have started later on.

I think everyone’s assuming that Citeh will be stoked for this, but I do think that the defeat might have left them on a bit of a downer too, and that they might find it hard to raise themselves to the same levels they achieved on Wednesday.
Saying that, our fitness issues are likely to have a big impact on our ability to compete, so I would expect a solid Citeh win and for us to be in fifth place at the end of this round of matches.

KWP v Sterling

Trying to wreck his confidence ?
I see it more as a great chance to prove if he's ready to compete for a starting spot. He can't be hidden away from the highest level if he wants to get there. Doesn't get much bigger than Sterling and City currently in the league...

Surely he can't do much worse than Trippier against Sterling in the second leg.

Pep will use all his nous, experience and charisma to raise himself and his team. If they lose tomorrow, their season is a disaster by their club standards and expectations. They’ll come out roaring. Our only chance is to park the bus sensibly and try and catch them on the break. I’d expect a 532 but couldn’t really vouch for who starts- we literally have no recognised senior central midfielders; I wouldn’t count Victor because he looks so exhausted in the second half of our last two games. I wonder if Poch will go with Foyth, Eriksen and Dele in a midfield three
