Not sure I follow. He shouldn't play three games a week, nor do we need 2 primarily defensive midfielders when we play relegation candidates.

Playing Dembele with another defensive mid has worked for us in the past against relegation candidates not sure why it wouldn't work now, besides Brighton at home are a strong side.

Despite that we need to manage Dembele's minutes properly but that doesn't mean totally ruling him out of the Brighton match which it seemed like you were alluding to.

This is one of the hardest teams to pick in a very long time. Players out of form, players just coming back from injury, no idea what formation Poch will go. A real mess.
Could be a risk to play Gazzaniga against Inter. Although I’d be very, very tempted to stick him in. Vorm is just an accident waiting to happen.
We have to go 3 at the back. Have to.
Eriksen has to play. Kane has to play. Even though both could easily be dropped after Saturday. Winks will be better than Saturday and he’ll be playing in his correct position.
Very harsh on Lucas, but we need to change things up. Things aren’t working up top with Kane. Maybe a change is needed.
I’d go back to the 3-4-2-1 with Kane the focal point with Lamela and Eriksen in behind.
Lucas and Sonny great options from the bench against a tiring defence.

Would like to see:

Gazzaniga

Aurier
Sanchez
Vertonghen
Rose

Wanyama
Eriksen
Lamela

Son
Kane
Lucas

Combination of pace, strength, aggression, technical ability and players who are in form.

Playing 2 defensive midfielders has also greatly hindered our attacking ability against teams that will likely park the bus. A player like Dembele is unnecessary in a game like that. Or we are just going to watch the ball get passed sideways all game. Or we could throw in Lamela or Son who will actually attack their defense.

I hate giving people the ❌ and I won't do it here either but no way would I start with that team buddy ?

Brighton don't really park the bus at home, they come out and are more expansive than they are away.

It's all about finding the balance in these games and whether that means him starting or coming off the bench or if he plays as a sole DMF he still needs to be considered, for the record I am refuting your claims that he shouldn't be considered to play against Brighton.

Just my opinion is all. I would have him on the bench and bring him on if it looked like we needed him to calm the game down.

Lamela has to play, would stick with Kane even though he has a piano on his back at the moment
Davies and Aurier the full backs, not fussed out of the centre halves
Winks and Wanyama
Eriksen, Lamela and Moura, Kane up top

If he doesn’t start, and it isn’t because he’s injured, then Poch’s meritocratic values are blown out the water

Poch loves Lamela when fit doesn't he? The only reason he's out of the starting rotation has been fitness not "preferential treatment to others" hasn't it?
