Ruben Neves (Wolves)

Player I really like the look of. Portuguese, 20 years of age.

Plays as a DM but with the ability to drive the team forward. He has great vision, awareness, great passerr of the ball.

Played for Porto's first team since aged 17, not just in the league, but Champions league also. Not bit parts either, he's captained Porto.

He plays for the national side also, and plenty of comparisons liken him to Moutinho.

I've seen him a few times now and he's caught the eye. I think at 20 years old, and with Poch's input he could be the perfect replacement for when Dembele leaves.

His passing from deep is very good, always looking to move the ball forward straight away, if he can't, he'll look to have a dribble forward.

Technically sound, been with Porto since 8 years old, with masses of experience for one so young. I'd be all over this.

Wolves the last time I looked (Friday ) sat top of the Championship. I think it would be safe to say if they got promoted, there would be a few clubs sitting up and taking notice of this lads ability.

Think Winks in style of play, but Neves is of bigger frame. I think the pair of them could compliment each other quite well, and or be part of rotation with Dembele, Wanyama and Dier.

He only just moved to Wolves for this seasons start. Club record and Championship record paid for his services. Circa £16 million. So of course I know we won't be securing in January. But a pre contact for an offer they couldn't refuse.

Think this lad would offer us more than Barkley and 3 years younger.
He has a very big future indeed, but he's a Mendes client, so that pretty much makes the deal impossible. :(

Barkley in Jan.

Recall Onomah in the summer, sign Zaha and a striker.

Sissoko, Nkoudou, Janssen and maybe Llorente out. Sorted.

Zaha won't come cheap, signed a 5 year contract for 110k a week in May. Unless he has a relegation release clause.
Yeah he definitely won't, but we don't need much else doing squad wise. If we get players out we can afford £40-50m.

I think Hercules said right after last window closed, that Zaha had a release clause next year. I can't find the quote as the transfer section is closed

I do not rate Zaha and not at the prices and salary quoted. He is lazy, moans and has no end product. There is much better at that sort of money. Thought he was wasteful today. Yes he has pace but that’s it. Plus he is a diver. Buff said

Barkley (if he is a Lemar to play by new year) and Zaha would be excellent additions and bolster our options. Sissoko can then be used exclusively for engine room cover only.

Need to look at another centre forward too although Son could be pushed up with above two signed and also is Sterling looking like he can be promoted to first team squad? (Or am I being a crazy optimistic bitch with that one lol),

If we can do a deal for Zaha, and he does not act such a dick head with his future, we are still interested.

Think the deal and wages will be too much for us.

Hopefully Barkley will be on still. Think he could become a key player

General insight into Zaha deal. Had we been convinced he really wanted to come we would go the extra mile. He did not want more than Kane. He just kept ‘urming & arming’ (Ignore spelling). We then moved on. We are eyeing options, and very keen on That Dortmund USA born’ winger. That could happen, even if bigger clubs with fatter cheque books come in. That is not to say it will happen as Sess of Fulham is ‘almost a banker’. Ross Barkley, we all know about. As Trix stated, would be amazed if we signed anyone else aside from him in January. UNLESS , one of the two other names I have mentioned becomes available.

Lamela is in a very, very thin rope! He has been FIT for ages.

Would love Pulisic, still think he should be our top attacking target. If it really is a case of Sessegnon, Pulisic or Zaha then that means we see Sessegnon as an attacker rather then a wing back. It does seem the kid has a great amount of potential but for the now I would rather get Pulisic as he could have a imidiate impact on the first team.

Such a shame about Lamela, I understand that the fear of injury can sometimes be more cripperling then actually being injured, the mind can do funny things, but if he has really been fit for a while then he needs to step up after the brake. With the injuries we have we really need him back.

Cheers for info Hercules.

Surely it’s time to push Lamela by putting him squad. If he refuses then you have grounds to get rid.

Pulisic would be unbelievable signing but very unrealistic as he’s Dortmund jewel and they wouldn’t let him go.

If that’s all the problem is with Zaha come summer after a season battling relegation he will probably jump at the chance to join.

Good news that Barkley still looks on

I don’t get the interest in Zaha, was bang average again today. I’d prefer we keep tabs on Richarlison at Watford, looks like he could be a real player.
