Temporary Home?

Where would be the best temporary/most likely home for us?

It'll end up us funding the revised design for the OS! We'll tell them how to put in some better seats nearer to the pitch and hey presto! Had we not already asked about the Boleyn also?

Anyway, was there not some dodgy ITK that said MK for most, Wembley for 4 and 1 in the US!!? Special dispensation from the PL because they want to test the water in any case. Someone like United would also be well up for this match.

Voted Wembley. I know its probably the least likely due to the game limit, but as the only neutral venue (which the olympic park won't be after a while) it's the only one I can stomach.

Why not the Valley?

gotta be upton park or OS if we can't go Emirates, but surely that has to be top option.

who cares if the seats are red etc its 55,000 spurs fans all signing

Upton Park has been sold to Galliard Homes for redevelopment when Spam move out.

I don't want a move to Emirates but on thesubject of red seats, I would hope that you wouldn't notice as we wouldn't have as many empty ones as they do!

I would love the Valley as it's 20 minutes walk from my house but the transport links aren't great and it's a nightmare round there with traffic on matchdays.

I honestly hope that it isn't MK or Ipswich. I live 35 minutes, including free parking, away from WHL. It's actually the reason we live where we do (sad I know). Would bugger me up big time. Sod everyone else ;):D, so I say let's play at the pitches at the base of Ally Pally!!

Just play our games over the marshes. We'll chuck down some Under-Armour sponsored jumpers for goalposts, spectators can stand around the touchlines and, as long as the ref shows up on time, Levy will only have to pay for 2 1/2 hours.

Now that'd really be a tribute to our past hey.

Although knowing us, we'd have one last tenant in the nearby allotment asking for 1 million to be evicted out of his patch.

Is there a reason why Twickenham isn't on the list? Genuine question as not heard it discussed much

It wasn't "dodgy", it wasn't true.

It's controlled by the RFU who have traditionally avoided all sports other than Rugby Union. In fact, even Rugby League has had problems convincing them to stage matches there.

Simple, at 27000 the Valley is too small. MK Dons, the Amex, Vicarage Rd, Loftus Rd and Portman Rd are also too small. Same goes for Selhurst Park, the Den, Craven Cottage and the Madejski too.

Realistically the only stadia in an acceptable distance that could accommodate us are Wembley, Emirates, Olympic Stadium, Upton Park, Stamford Bridge and Twickenham.

I spose there could be an option to use a cricket or athletics ground with a load of temporary seating but that would be so shit we might as well use the grandstand on a horse racing course.

Let's be realistic woolwich, west ham, and Chelsea wouldn't share,we might get wembley for a few games. Its going to be mk because it will be the cheapest option and Winkleman would bite there hand off.
Because stadium mk is 10 minutes from my house doesn't influence my opinion.

Just reading in the daily fail (so its probably a pile of horse sh!t!) but apparently there is a loop hole in the FA'S contract with Brent council that Wembley can hold unlimited number of events per year if it restricts the capacity to 50k for these events. Apparently the chavs are considering using wembley and exploiting this loop hole when the redevelop stamford bridge. Surely we should be looking into using this loop hole as well when we move to a temporally ground. IF its true as well then surely Wembley has to be the clubs preferred choice rather than moving to MK for a season

It's all going to come down to costs, that's how they think...
Still it would be nice to win a game at wembley again.

I think we should rent Allianz Park.

Lend Saracens the money (5-10m) to build another 6.5k capacity stand opposite the main one which they need anyway.
Put in two temporary stands of 10k each behind each goal.

Result, local stadium of 33k in heart of north London round the corner from my house.

Just filled in my online survey for the club re year away from WHL.

One question stood out " How likely is it that you would bring new people to the temporary ground?" Then a list of their ages etc.
This suggests we are looking at a bigger than WHL venue?

I read that as the club being worried about reduced attendances if we moved and questioning whether if there was increased ticket availability, would people be more likely to bring wives/girlfriends/children/siblings/friends etc that may not usually go.

The 50k capacity Wembley option has to be the one that we opt for. Nothing else seems practical or realistic and this one makes clear sense as it's relatively local and can accommodate a healthy number of fans for a club of our size.

There may be significant cost implications of such a move but I'm sure that will be the case with anywhere else that we choose to move to. The only negative for me would be having to put up with the red seats!
