Temporary Home?

Where would be the best temporary/most likely home for us?

Was talking to my cousin yesterday, he lives 5 minutes from stadium mk and said he had a letter through (along with others in the area) asking if they had any objections about Tottenham playing their games there.

He said he'd heard that it was all done and dusted, official and that is only a matter of time before its announced. He's also not happy as he's a gooner.

Might have already been discussed here but thought I'd share.

Can't stand Scudamore. Such a corporate douchebag.
To be fair, all league heads are corporate douchebags. Comes with the territory.

Whats the problem with what he said? I agree with him. Has to be all or nothing.

I know i technically shouldnt care much as i live in the states, but Spurs are a London club. A London club should be playing in London

I hate the idea of Wembley. It's a shit stadium, shit pitch and other clubs will hate us for playing there. There was plenty of anger whem the semi-finals were moved from neutral grounds to Wembley. Playing regular Premier League matches there will just dilute it furter.

Leyton Orient would be nice but too expensive due to its small size. Craven Cottage is probably the best ground in London.

We've got to push for the Olympic Stadium, surely spammers can't veto a London club using a publicly funded stadium?

What, so other clubs like and respect us so much now, it would be a shame to spoil it?

Does anyone really care what other clubs think of us?

Maybe we should play our 19 PL games at Emirates and our Champion League games at Wembley?

That's capacity 25,500. We have 21,500 season-ticket holders and we'd have to have about 1,500 away fans so that means only 2,500 tickets each match for non-season ticket holders and corporates. Not really ideal.

I think the Emirates is the best all around solution - all they'll be doing is returning the favour we showed them when the Luftwaffe did the only worthwhile thing they ever did - bomb Highbury. I quite like the idea of Tottenham fans re-populating the "Occupied Zone" of North London every fortnight for a year. We'll have to send them some dosh their way of course, but in all honesty they're not our direct rivals on the football pitch at the moment and catching up with them is a long term goal that will take a decade or more of being at the new Stadium.

Yet Scudamore was fine for PL clubs to play a 39th game in another country.

Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore is still in favour of adding a controversial 39th game to the season - and says the clubs are too.

The idea of playing an extra round of fixtures abroad was first suggested in 2008, but drew criticism from fans and the media.

But Scudamore told the BBC: "The clubs wanted it then and they all would still probably want it now.

"It will happen at some point. Whether it is on my watch, who knows?"

It'd be hilarious to have the Emirates for a year just for the one 'home' NLD with 55,000 Yids compared to 5000 Arsenal fans in their own ground

If England can take 4 NFL games from us, the Premier League can sure as hell hold 1 game in the states.
Yes it will eventually happen but not as an extra game. When the TV money begins to level off this will be the next step.An overseas round.Lose 1 home game every 2 seasons

My point is that Scudamore wants teams to play a 39th game outside of their country but won't let us split games between two stadiums while the new stadium is being built.

Hello people fairly new to this site, I often come on as a non member to read posts and opinions find the posts in here great!

I'm from up north try to get down to the lane 5-6 times a season. Think the new plans look top class but I'm that against them moving in to Wembley I've signed up to voice it. Does no one think playing our home games there will be a disadvantage, lesser teams turning up at the lane is hard enough but do you not think teams coming to Wembley will take our home games like a cup final...

You imagine big Andy Carroll turning up after a night on the razzle and a pre match Wembley pie and being told this could be his last ever game at Wembley!

Yeah but we'd have to reduce their allocation to 2000 on safety grounds.
