If anyone here is going to the match and you see anything that may be remotely an issue regarding health or safety, please do me a favour, shut the fuck up and don't say a word to anyone.

So is Gazza actually playing, or was it just an optimistic bit of an attempt to persuade the club to invite him?

Spurs haven’t said anything about him as far as I’m aware so it looks like he’s not, unless they’ve waited until this week to share it because it’s the biggest announcement. Let’s hope.... ?

I’ve got a horrible feeling that my initial hunch was correct, and that he’s made it up in the hope that it might encourage the club to call him up.

I can understand why they wouldn’t. He’s probably number one on a list of potential reasons why we might fail a safety test.

Is there any ticket still avaliable now? I am thinking of buying the one hotspur member solely for this test event

As @bomberH said, there doesn't appear to be anything from the club. However, these bastions of truth & integrity are apparently in the belief that he is (bizarrely, TalkSport & Sky seem to be i the most in depth).

There's going to be more players announced this week. Gazza was invited to the final game so there's no reason why he wouldn't be invited to this - especially with Gary Mabbutt picking the squad.

Really looking forward to this, haven't been near to the ground since the FA Cup game vs Villa in Jan 17.

Interesting mix of players, now the 'legends' squads are made up of players I remember watching it makes it extra special I think, despite the term legend being a fairly loose appropriation for a few names based on the teams achievement in that period :D

Gonna have a rumage around in the shirt archive to see which one to dig out for the occasion.

Gazza has posted a video of him jogging and then he says at the end ‘I’m ready for the match’. Still no confirmation from spurs officially but he must be playing.

Graham Roberts has commented "Well done Paul see you at the weekend" so seems like it might actually be true.

Wonder whether they were trying to keep it low key in case he pulled out last minute. I don't think anyone would be too upset because they'll still get to see Chimbonda, Stalteri etc. but it could cause complaints.

I'm actually really excited to see Gazza, hopefully he will be there. As for Inter I checked out their squad and I look forward to seeing Stankovic among others.

In fact, I'm 100% sure the above is the reason.

Event in Wolverhampton where he didn't even enter the stage in July 2018.

No-shows at two events in Hartlepool and Middlesbrough in 2017.

An "Audience with Gazza" in Nov 2018 where he showed up half-way through and only stayed 50 minutes.

All since he has been sober. So sadly he does have previous with promising to turn up to events and no-showing.

Supposed to be more names announced this week, feels like Spurs are leaving it a bit late though, can only assume Ledley etc must be in the final batch? Surely Robbo, Ginola (if well enough) would be included in this too?
