In brickies already for anyone else that is planning on coming in !

Blimey you're going to need to read the match thread to get an idea of what happened at this rate...actually on second thoughts don't read the match thread.

Maybe I was expecting too much, but when you are told that you will not have experienced anything like it for 25 years you kind of expect a lot. Was a decent effort, but not much better than most home games.

Hope this builds into something big!

Was it? What was so amazing? Not the singing. The beer was good. Could almost hear songs from Paxton.

I don't know what game you were at, but tonight was nowhere near a normal home game this season. Normal back in 2004/5/6/7/8 maybe, but this year it's been shit.

I was pleased when I heard a song at the end of the first half that lasted into half time but I wasn't so impressed. I thought the Maribor atmosphere was better.

Also. lol. The amount of 'oh when the' only lasted one chorus was a worry.

I say that tongue in cheek but it was prevalent.

For shame.

Well, I enjoyed it!

Took a mate who'd never been to the Lane and he loved it, couldn't believe that the stewards allowed us to stand all match singing.

Fair play to the club for allowing it and thanks to Flav and the fighting cock lot for creating the best atmosphere I've experienced at WHL for a long time.

Constant singing from 1882 Park Lane block, but Shelf-Side just didn't get involved....... Imo they should opt for the Shelf corner with Park Lane, so both Shelf and Park Lane sing..

I enjoyed it, didn't hear the greeks all game apart from them whistling brad friedel, not sure what it sounded like on TV but I was singing throughout. Also managed to see Bale in a box in the shelf.

On the tv, we wouldn't have known we had any home fans at all save for a couple of yid armys etc, out sung for the whole game by the Greeks, to be honest, it sounded quieter than a normal match. It genuinely sounded pathetic. Either they had the mikes in the wrong place or you were all put to shame by the away fans.

I am utterly astonished by this. I was in block 32 with the 1882 and we sung the WHOLE game. Absolutely relentless chanting. I have no voice today. I am gutted that we weren't heard on TV; I only heard the Greeks once - when they scored. They can't have had the mics anywhere near us!

Wasn't going to go so booked a late ticket to see what the hype was about. Only made it to block 31 (normally stand in block 35 for pl games), and to be honest was a bit disapointed. Shelf side was quieter than normal, block 32 and 33 made a decent effort, but in the end i was a bit, meh.
Still think its a cracking idea as the atmosphere has been pretty bad in alot of games, still frustrates me taht so many people are happy to shout abuse at players, yet are unwilling to join in the chants to get behind the team. Ade and Naughts were getting slaughtered last night.
Great job at trying to get things going would really like to see this idea extended if possible.

Same here Miles, Was in row 27 block 32 and there was maybe 30 seconds without chanting the whole game. Any noise heard by the Greeks was immediately drowned out. I was impressed with the effort.

Hopefully the club will sort out the mic placement for the next one.

Only time I noticed a drop in volume on the TV was the 10 minute period after they scored.

Start of the game the sound was brilliant! Reminded me of being in the Park Lane for the UEFA Cup game against Sevilla years ago.

I was bigging this up to my boss who I took last night. was sat in east upper and although the 1882's sang all night the rest of the ground just didnt get involved. This could have been great but it wasnt as good as I was expecting. Shame. but carry on the good work gents.
