We haven't more homegrown players. We filled our 17 man non homegrown contingent and then we had 6 left + 4 (Dier, Davies, Kane, Bentaleb) who doesnt need to be registered.

Really confused about the stats given under each player. Apparently both verts and Chiriches are taller than Kaboul :S
With Kaboul at 1.82m, Chiriches at 1.84m and Verts at 1.89m.

Even Ben Davies is apparently only a centimetre shorter than Kaboul, Paulinho is the same exactly the same height, Lamela is taller by a centimetre at 1.83 and Ade topping the chart at 1.91cm.

Think "Kaboom" will end up running around like Danny Devito by January if he continues to shrink at this rate.

According to the Tottenham Hotspur Official Handbook 2013-14, Kaboul is 191cm tall (just over 6ft 3in) and weighs 95Kg (a smidgen under 15 stone).

Yeah hopefully at least one of them will make way if we can improve on them. I just wish Ceballos would get a shot in the league so we could see if he'll be able to cope with the physical side of things, I don't think there's any doubt over his skill on the ball.

Like Modric though, he will never adapt unless he gets games. Rather him than Lennon or AT, IMO.

Agree for the most part, I'd like to see him get a run of games in the league too rather than one off appearances here and there. But like I just said in another thread, he'll need to prove himself if he gets that chance if he wants Lennon or Townsends place in the long run. He'll need to show that he can offer more than them and likewise they'll need to do the same.

The reason why Davies & Dier are in the Europa squad is because they are not eligible for the B-list which requires:

- The player be U21
- The player have been registered at the club for 2 years prior to the season

This is why Friedel drops out, but not a clue about Davies/Ceballos here. Davies appears to be taking up Ceballos' spot, but he should be counted as league trained, for which we have a spare slot.

Ignoring the rules why we couldn't name anymore, are people bemoaning the fact that we only named 23 players? 3 Keepers and theoretically 2 players for each outfield position. How many more do you want? That isn't even including the 4-5 players that don't have to be registered.

If they are on loan out of the uk they wont be. If they are in the uk, I dont know.

Can only be clased as home grown if you have learned in that country so even though chelsea have these youths, loaning them abroad isnt helping them.

Yeah I don't get the moaning. Leaves more room for youth to see time, as well as wiggle room in January if we're to make any other additions. After the summer clearout, we wouldn't have to struggle to find takers in January if Poch feels he needs to make additional acquisitions. This squad count is very much a good thing folks.

I think the only complaints are that we didn't name a particular young player (Ceballos) in the Europa squad who would have really benefited from some game time.
