Teams :

(vs Lorient): Glover, Ball, McQueen, Winks, Carter-Vickers, Lesniak, Lameiras, Onomah, Coulthirst, Miller, Oduwa.

(vs EA Guingamp): Glover, Walker-Peters, McEneff, Miller, Ball, Walkes, Sonupe, Winks, Akindayini, Obika, Lameiras.
So we won against Lorient, and lost against Guingamp.

Can anyone else see the obvious reason why?

:p

Its a weird point system - I think yoiu can get 4 points for winning by more than 2 goals or something.

But another way to look at it is that we beat the group winners (narrowly) and lost to the other 2 teams (narrowly). I don't know the age of the other teams but I'd imagine we had one of the youngest squads.

Not sure why @Grinner thinks posts should have a WTF rating.

Hopefully just careless when browsing on a mobile and will remove it

Or post and explain. Thanks

any idea where exactly? or the name of the tournament?

Did some navering and saw its the 27-31st of august in cheonnam. Other reams include barca, ghana, cameroon a few japanese teams, an aussie and a kiwi team. And a few Korean teams, obviously, including the Korean u14 team.

OS report on the two u21 matches today.

Teams :

(vs Lorient): Glover, Ball, McQueen, Winks, Carter-Vickers, Lesniak, Lameiras, Onomah, Coulthirst, Miller, Oduwa.

(vs EA Guingamp): Glover, Walker-Peters, McEneff, Miller, Ball, Walkes, Sonupe, Winks, Akindayini, Obika, Lameiras.

Anyone know the formation for that first game. Can guess McQueen RB. But Thought Ball, CCV and then assume Lesniak would make up the rest. Who played LB?

Good to see a few other Barking Abbey users here haha, used to train there for cricket and table tennis. Their hall was lethal for fast bowlers, everything was round my nose.

I've asked one or two players on twitter, but either thay don't know or have been told not to say.

There is also the youth olympic which includes u15/16 footnball teams but that seeems to be only for countries, so far I've drawn a blank and OS does not report on age groups below u18 !

Thinks its this :

Glover,
McQueen, Ball, Carter-Vickers, Lesniak
Winks,
Onomah
Lameiras, Miller, Oduwa.
Couklthirst

I've seen Lesniak play LB before
Not sure if Lameiras and Miller should be the other way round, but as I'd expect all 3 to alternate, its a bit academic.
Its also possible that Onomah and Miller might be interchanged.

sorry, i should have been more clear. after asking the initial question, the 2nd part was an edit based on info i searched on the korean net. the above info is what the press release for the tournament said. however, and this is a big but, there was no mention of spurs in the press release. so who knows...

Marcus Edwards just scored 2 for England U17s in a 5-1 win over Iceland.

He's still 15 right, 16 in December I believe? And I see @Spursidol didn't put him down in the expectant new Year 1 entry. So who's age group does he play with? is he a year younger than those and one year older than Jack Roles, Jaden Brown and them?

Is he the only player in his age group so to speak at the club? Im just wondering who he plays with, cos most of teh reports and info we have for him are through his England games.

For what it's worth I think we should get him playing some u18s matches next year

Contemporaries in u16's include Jaden Brown, Jack Roles & Alfie Whiteman et al

As fans we see very little of the age groups below Academy Year 1 (except via Riga Cup etc, and by contrast it is not possible to watch Spurs u16 matches at the Training GRound for example), so in some ways its no surprise to hear of him through his performances at E u16 and now E u17 level - its happened before with young players.

I am sure he and several u16's will play some time this season in the Spurs u18 matches
